The Wind that shakes the barley is a film I'd love to see alone in a good theatre

That was a masterpeice in my opinion. Not enough people in the US have seen it that's for sure.

I'm sure it stirs some deep emotions for you, Don

I'd like to see this done as a featured length animated movie. I'm not a fan of the Underdog and Garfield movies.

In all honesty I don't mind. It's in our history now and I feel we should leave it be. But as you said the film was beautiful, a graphically accurate portrayal of past reality. I loved it.

Your a good man for Films BG, what do you reckon was the best of last year?

They say it's supposed to be better because this time there's an actual villan throughout the movie instead of the hulk just going around smashing things.

Also, I think people expected it to be a lot like the old 'The Incredible Hulk' show that used to come on the sci fi channel all the time.

What I think sets Iron Man apart in this movie, is its ability to humanize it's superhero. This is the one thing which has drawn us to comic books from their very beginnings. That somehow no matter how far fetched at times many of the characters are, we can somehow in a smiling place in our brains, still dream of having such gifts and powers, and still relate to the every day stuggle of walking the Earth as we know it for ourselves and relate that to our hero.

Iron Man and Robert Downie Jr. captures this well in the movie. Damn I want me an Iron Man suit now.
