Oh by the way Bilbo, I've been on this forum since 2004, I just didn't always have time to post as much, and you've been here since 2005. I'm older than you!

Bilbs, I hate to bother to go look but after how many Rep. Points do earn 1 punch point?
Do you know?
Ok so I just checked and every 100 Reps. gives you 1 power point.
Maybe Saddo can change it to every 500 Reps. gives you 1 point?

That doesn't fix the problem though. The root of the problem is that we have punch stats which constantly inflate.
The only way to solve the problem is to go back to EVERYBODY having the same punch power!
Or say when someone reaches a milestone 5000 posts for example they get 1 more punchpower but its fixed for everyone when they hit 5000 to get that increase.
The current system is fundamentally flawed imo.
1 click per person is the best system imo.
Yep every 100 points.
So say in two weeks from now you and me will be able to add a whole rep point to anyone we click.
Even if we choose to limit the amount or rep we give per punch the problem is still there and will get bigger and bigger over time.
At the current rate by Christmas you and me will have punch power of AT LEAST 1000 per hit!
That would mean if we gave a full power hit, a brand new member could get full rep from say you, me, Gamo and Gorilla and ALREADY have a bigger reputation than Wacko!
The system sucks imo![]()
Well we can also all Rep. WackOff everyday so he doesn't fall off.
I just Raped FUCK!
I mean Repped him right now.![]()
Yeah but that's a cumbersome thing to have to do. Means you have to search for old posts and realistically how many people would do that every day to make sure he doesn't fall behind.
I just think the system itself is flawed.
The coolclick system was much simpler and more importantly worked much better.
People gave both coolclicks and sadclicks, we had special smilies devoted to both, the anonyminty ensured people were free to click without fear of retribution or without looking like they were pandering for a coolclick themselves.
Nobody's reputation would get left behind just because they didn't log in for a few weeks and any reputation that anybody built was deserved.
If you had 2000 coolclicks under the old system, it mean you had been clicked 2000 times. No trickery, no illusion that was 2000 clicks.
Under this new system you could have a reputation of 2000 and been clicked less than 100 times, in another couple months you get that score by being clicked just 3 or 4 times![]()
I'd do that for my boy Wakcs...
Heres where you show how much people actually care for the guy...
Bunch of fucken brown noses who would only come around his Rd. by Rd. and say things like your great! your my boy! your this...
Where are they now?
Anyway.... I rarely Sad Clicked on the old forum once in a while I would go into OLD threads and Sad Click old members... I've Bad Repped a few people here...![]()
He could make it so that you're not allowed to recieve but so much rep at once until your rep count or punch power reaches a certain number. (That way a newbie couldn't come on here and get repped by a powerful poster like Mick and already have a high punch power. Only a poster like Wacko who deserved it could get it.)
That makes sense...
So if I can't click them that means that can't earn any punching power and only those with a small number can Rep. thus leaving me to Rep. members like Wacko, Bilbo, BG etc. etc.
So if I Rep. them their power will increase but not rapidly which means we would all somewhat be the same and.......
(I have know fucken idea, what I just typed)
I'm repeating what I just said but it applies here as well........
But all of these things take time and complicate the system.
Why not just go back to the old coolclick sadclick system where there were no problems to begin with
And also your idea would just widen the gap between a high rep poster and a newbie.
Why not just have 1 click for everybody, its democratic.
