I swear they are so F'IN desperate at times for the next big thing they forget to make sure all the little things aren't broken with it before sending it out on display...Lee is a decent kid and hopefully he can comeback and re-group fix what is broken and move on but this is more a shame on his team rather then him
Daxx I agree with some parts of your post.
Other parts is more of looking at it from another angle...
I know and understand the 'hype' part of it. We've seen it happen time and time again. Most recently with Joel Julio (BUT his loss to Carlos has know since then been 'axed' as a loss to a good boxer)
Anyway my point being that loosing in this manner right now can be seen as being exposed, found, being a fraud etc. etc. etc.
Daxx, I to Am tired of hype that surronds certain fighters early in their careers. I've talked about this before but I learned my lesson with 'Panchito' Bojado when I swore up and down the Pacific Coast Line that he'd be a champ by 2006 and would reign supreme for many years to come. I preached the Bojado Gospel from his 1st all the way up until his loss to Leija. From that fighter forth I promised that I would no longer hype up fighter with less then 20-25 fights depending on quality of oppositon among other things.
Lees got talent and he's shown it in the ring. Even tonight when he lost he showed that he has tools. I can def. see Lee coming back from this.
Guess my point is that I wouldn't call this 'Exposure' cause I think Lee just had a bad night. If you check one of my posts from today I just posted that I thought Lee would loose to someone who moved well and Vera did. Lee couldn't find him but Vera did...
Let's not forget how many fighters have lost early in their careers and have bounced back to become champions and even ATG.
Hopkins, Alexis, The Marquez Bros., Carlos De Leon etc. etc. the list is endless.
