Notice Jmm slow down by the 10th, he had a big 8 round that took more out of him then pac.

Pac block most of jmms punches with his gloves, there was no outboxing pac. Even steward said it, you can't outbox pac you have to fight him.

Note both jim and steward said this during the fight.

This fight was close only because pac fought jmms fight. Pac has now beaten mab in his own perfered fight and he has also beaten jmm in his own countering style. Look at the third round, that punch pac landed was a counter punch. PERFECT FUCKING PUNCH, so give my boy credit. For a dubbed masterful counter puncher. JMM himself has never landed a beautiful counter like that. LOOK at the tenth round, only 20 some seconds into that round, pac again lands a beautiful fcking counter left hook, it nearly sends jmm across the pacific.

Jmm did well but pac has adapted his no longer just a brawler, his boxing and countering is underrated.

Only reason people say pac lost is because the standard for a pac victory is a k.o. Jmm didn't get ko'ed but look at his face, from his forehead to his upper lip his whole face is swollen. Pac only suffered from one eye which was crucial. It was first cause from the mutual headbutt, at first it seem jmm suffered worst but later jmm targetted that cut to worsen it. Pac also spread jmm cuts, both battered eachothers cut well. Great fight but jmm came up short. Pac settles and does not go out to destroys, he prefers to fight these guys fights now. His countering and boxing is underrated. As long as pac does not win via k.o its a lost in the eyes of the blinds. They should be proud jmm was in a close fight and pac didn't blaze him out of the ring. He could of finish jmm in the fourth right after jmm was stunned twice or thrice. Pacs extra 16 pounds after the weight in is also slowing him down. When he moves up to 135 i hope to see the vicious side of pac again.

Believe me pac is p4p great, so is Jmm but pac did not lose to jmm. If anything jmm should retire and live with this lost, atleast he can brag about not being stopped by pac unlike the other two. His really asking for it if he moves up to 135 just to fight pac again. Maybe its just for another million pac can get him.
I remember one of the commentators (Lampley or Stewart) said in round 10, "JMM needs a KO to win".

By watching the fight over and over and over again,... I had it one point for the Pacman. Simply because he was the aggressor through out the fight. JMM thought he can just simply throw pot shots all night from a safe distance and still win, if that was with a lesser fighter, yes the strategy would have worked, but JMM must have forgotten that it was Manny Pacquaio who he was throwing pot shots at. Pacquiao is the draw and therefore in the judges' eyes is the one to beat. If Marquez did something drastic to change to make the judges change their minds, he would have gotten the nod.

Pacman inflicted the more telling blows, and more damage throughout the fight. That was obvious in the 3rd and 10th rounds. Sure JMM staggered Pac once, but similar to what Julius said - Marquez had a lot of connects, but they were more ‘slaps’ as compared to Pacman’s more solid shots. That’s how 2 out of 3 of the judges saw it and that’s how they scored it. In my humble opinion, Pacman won the fight.

...And how come Beristain and Quintana are filing formal protest against Vazquez, but they're not doing the same thing against Pacquiao? More sour grapes turn into whine - LA Daily News

    I know the answer ...

...Coz they both know the older Marquez lost fairly.

I strongly doubt that bro. How would he be able to beat Pac if he can't even comb his own hair with those guns?

    Pacquiao starts training in April
    Manila Bulletin Online
    By Nick Giongco

SAN FRANCISCO — Manny Pacquiao plans to report back for training at the Wild Card Boxing Club in Hollywood in the last week of April in preparation for a June 28 fight being lined up by Top Rank.

Pacquiao told the Bulletin on Friday that he is looking forward to returning to action after his razor-thin split decision win over Juan Manuel Marquez last week in Las Vegas after he takes care of the backlog in his studies at Notre Dame in General Santos City.

The 29-year-old Pacquiao is enrolled there taking up management.
"I have to attend to my studies first then head back to the Wild Card," said Pacquiao, who now holds the World Boxing Council (WBC) super-featherweight crown after his win over Marquez.

Pacquiao left behind two months worth of studies when he started training for Marquez in mid-January.

Although Top Rank has already penciled a date for Pacquiao, the choice of opponent is still up in the air according to the boxer even if Bob Arum, the man who calls the shots for the Las Vegas-based promotional outfit, has spoken about Pacquiao facing WBC lightweight king David Diaz at Mandalay Bay.

"Everything is still under negotiations," said Pacquiao, who leaves for Manila on Saturday night. A victory parade awaits him when he sets foot in the Philippines on Monday morning.

As this developed, Pacquiao had the stitches on his right eyebrow removed also on Friday, almost a week after Marquez opened that ghastly wound with a right straight in the eighth round of their 12-round brawl.

Pacquiao had to wear dark glasses to hid the hideous wound when he faced the media during the post-fight press conference and he wore that in the days that followed.

"I am doing fine now, my eye is no longer closed," said Pacquiao from his apartment unit at The Palazzo in trendy La Brea area.
For the Marquez bout, Pacquiao trained for eight solid weeks and he is keen in doing the same in his next fight regardless of who the opponent will be.

After the June bout, Pacquiao plans to see action one more time in November ( Manny Pacquiao - Oscar De La Hoya In November? ).

Pacquiao will be joined in the trip back to the Philippines by wife Jinkee and close family members as well as two of his trainers and friends and supporters.

I actually just watched Pacquiao vs Marquez (their first fight) three times within the week and the first time I watched it, I had it a draw, the second time, I had Marquez eeking out a split decision, and the last time I watched it, I had Pacquiao barely surviving. I don't know if there is something wrong with me or if the fight was that hard to choose!

Pacquiao vs Marquez II is about to be re-broadcasted on HBO so i'll post my scorecard of that fight as soon as the whole boxing evening ends (Katsidis vs Casamayor too!). On the night of the fight, I had Pacquiao winning 114-113.

Hope everyone is tuning in to Kats vs Casa! Hopefully will be a good one!
