Well, I got the money but it sure wasn't as one sided as I expected it to be. Katsidis did himself and his country proud tonight.

Casamayor has slipped. Five years ago, I don't think Casamayor lets Kat out of the first three rounds, let alone get dragged into the beating he was taking in the middle rounds.

Truth be told, I think Casa got lucky tonight - if Kat had been a little more composed and not tried to decapitate Casa at the start of the tenth I think he wins the decision. Casa was very dirty in spots too - lots of head work and low blows, the point deduction was perfectly warranted. Katsidis is relentless and I've never seen Casamayor look that shook up against anyone.

    Great fight.

Casamayor is always dirty. There's no denying that. But Katsidis did his share of fouling too. But still Casamayor winning is all that matters.

Agreed, you were in the same position as me today mate. Wanted katsidis to win but put money on casa. I think casa is there for the taking now, i reckon a rematch between katsidis and casa would be a good fight.

For sure Snake, I think Katsidis can win a rematch. Casa is only going to get older and slower. Kat made a great adjustment after the first round in keeping that right glove of his close to his chin. I'm just curious as to why he came out so gung ho in the tenth - he was, as we say down under, as open as a dunny door.

Still I got Casa at 2.50 on Ladbrokes and at 2.80 () on TAB sportsbet. Not like the TAB to be generous but they were obviously taking bulk cash on Kat early in the week and that blew Casamayor out a bit.

I'm only to happy to take some of that

Truth be told thats Kat's style, if he didnt do that he wouldnt be Katsidis, so luck had nothing to do with it. Kat did what he always does and Casamayor caught him. It was no luck, it was Casa's style countering Kat's.

So how come Casa's style did such a shit job of countering Katsidis style in rounds 3-9?

And tell me, who would you back in a rematch?

Katsidis only won the 4th and 6th rounds. And I'll back Casamayor in a rematch. But there no point in a rematch. Katsidis brings nothing to the table any more

Casa had been timing him with left hands all night and it was Katsidis' own style that came back to haunt him, Casa's style is that of a counter puncher.

And don't just bring up rounds 3-9 without mentioning the first 2 where Casamayor was doing exactly that with his left. It was Katsidis' style and asking him not to be wreckless is asking him not to be Katsidis and I'd back Casamayor in a rematch.

Ok, we'll have to agree to disagree. I can't remember Casamayor landing many good punches in rounds 3-9. In fact, my impression was that in those rounds he was taking a bit of a beating.

I thought after the first couple of rounds, Katsidis made the good adjustment of keeping his right glove tighter to his chin which prevented Casa from landing the straight left. The punch that fucked Kat up was more of a left hook which eventuated because Kat came out very wild in the tenth, which he hadn't been doing for rounds 3-9. Katsidis was also clearly hurting Casa to the body.

So that is why I say I think Joel got a little lucky - and if they were to fight again I would certainly back Katsidis.
