ODLH vs Pac would be retarded, why would anyone want to see that? A super featherweight vs a junior middleweight? Common now. Maybe Kelly Pavlik can fight Wlad Klitschko or Sam Peter on the undercard.

Granted, Pac was at 145 when he fought Marquez. I could actually see Pac fighting Hatton, Mayweather, and hell, maybe even Cotto. Just because those guys aren't truly big guys and outside of Mayweather, they don't have long reaches. He would be at a severe disadvantage but since they are all around the same height and reach, it wouldn't really be all that different from Mosley jumping up from 135 to 147 to fight ODLH. But Pac fighting ODLH should NEVER happen. How in the fuck do you let a career super-middleweight fight a career super-featherweight? I don't give a damn how much money that fight makes. I understand fighters and networks wanting to make the most money with big "events" but the boxing community has to start taking itself more seriously. These matches are a slap in the face to paying fans. Quite honestly, the first Floyd-Oscar match was a pretty big mismatch on paper. ODLH is a MUCH bigger man than Floyd, the only reason that fight wasn't a big slap in the face was because Floyd has skills to compensate for his size.

Look, I understand that these boxers want to make the most money possible while they can (a la Mayweather, Pacquiao, Hatton, etc...). because stardom only lasts so long in boxing and because boxing is probably the worst sport to grow old in. When you retire, us fans will say "wow, that guy was a great fighter or wow he was a warrior, remember him? Remember that fight?" but in reality, life after boxing is hard for those guys. Most boxers are usually guys with little education and little other skill and can't really make money doing anything else. Plus, boxers take hits to the head that won't affect them now but will 20 years down the road. It's a risk these guys take for their paycheck. We bitch and complain about these guys when they use defense, work the ring, and may not be brawlers, but when we start hearing about these guys having brain damage and early Alzheimers when they are 50, what's the first thing that comes out of our mouths? "Wow, that sucks, that's tragic." None of us gave a fuck when we shelled out $50 to watch the bloodbath that probably contributed to it, we just wanted to get our rocks off on the blood lust and intense action. I'm guilty of this just like every other boxing fan. And that's why I don't go completely crazy when I hear about a boxer "ducking" another boxer or a boxer fighting a lesser "opponent." This is their only livelihood and they SHOULD do what (within reason) will make them the most money because when they are old and out of the sport none of us are gonna send money to their house because their ass already got paid.

With ALL that being said, I DO NOT condone fights like ODLH vs Pac. There's a limit and fights like that aren't about trying to make the most money, they are about raping the sport of it's integrity.

I'd prefer Junior Witter vs. a Bear as the undercard.
