I'm going to put MD's shoulder stabilizing technique into my weight training routine and see how it goes. I've also noticed i slouch to the right a bit - especially when sitting down so I'm trying to stop that in case this bad postural habit has anything to do with it.

I hope yours doesn't continue to flare up. Do you think you can pin point a relatively steep increase in some kind of upper body training that might have set it off?
Be sure to let me now how that excercise effects you!
Perhaps some swimming could help your shoulder also?
It's a brilliant excercise for strengthening the upper muscles whilst maintaining flexibility so it could work

As for my shoulder, I was doing tricep excercises "over the shoulder" so that could possibly be it....Not certain though.
yeah I have been doing tricep extension exercises also but only with very light weights so that I can watch my form and not swing or strain with the weight.

I don't think that's what's bugging my shoulder but as for yours - who knows?!? - I've read these shoulder joints are pretty complicated so it might take a while for us to nut out what does and doesn't irritate them!

I have been swimming reasonably often - about 3 or 4 times a week and I am finding it is helping me make better gains from my weight training - done straight afterwards. I used to do three sets of everything but with the swim after weights 2 sets seems to be plenty and I think it doubles as a stretching exercise to help cool down too. I like it

I've started MDs exercise and I think I must definately have a few weak shoulder muscles. I am using very light weight but it still feels like hard work! Must need it!

cool I might give them a go so.

If I could get a gym with a pool I'd swim a lot more.

Yeah if I didn't know how to swim explosively i can see it not helping but sprints i think definately do!
