Well Fieldwork and measurement are large parts of my job. But a Quantity Surveyor also is in charge of Tendering, Interim Accounts, Cost Planning and Contract Administration.
I'll be specialising in Civil Engineering works, like roads, pipelines, electrical stations and water services. It's a cool job and I was thinking of going to America and using it.

Land development and tract house constructions are sucking right now in California because of the massive on-going foreclosures. I hate recision! Right now, Working for the Public works or any Union jobs like Caltrans gotta be the right move. Prevailing wage man, you can't beat 'em.

It's pretty crazy, a bigger st.paddys day parade than you'll find anywhere in Ireland!

I'm guessing that job would involve a lot of research on new ways to make the most of fossil fuels too? In order to ,make them last as long as possible.
