I think Ward;s people are bringing him along well.Ravelo is a 2000 Olympian, (18-2, 12 KOs). Fight is on June12 I think.

Pretty good matchup imo. Ravelo is a good fighter, not great obviously, but he's pretty slick and throws some nice combinations from what I've seen. Seems to lack real power, and he has had alot of injuries and inactivity. Who knows how that will serve him though, he might see this as his last chance and bring his absolute best. I know he's done a fair bit of work as a sparring partner for some great fighters like Hopkins and Tarver a couple years back. It's also good to see Ward step up and take a fight like this, I haven't seen him fight in ages but apparently he has been improving steadily in off TV bouts. Certainly they are both talented fighters who should make for a fan friendly fight. Ward clearly has the better potential, but this is still a step up for him.
Takes place in the Cayman islands, hopefully it lands on TV.
I'm big on Ward, haven't seen much of Ravelo aside from Green and a couple times on FNF but obviously I think Ward takes it. Really impressed with how he switches southpaw, he seems to be more aggressive from the southpaw stance and it's almost like the left has more power then the right for Ward. Thanks for the heads up.
168 is wide open at the moment, Ward certainly feels like he belongs in the mix at the top it's just a matter of getting the wins on his record but the step up is soon. Started with Williams, after Ravelo I imagine it will be Allan Green. That seems to be the angle Ward and Goosen are going. This would be the second opponent in a row that has shared the ring with Green, and a lot of loose talk points to them wanting Green. It's a fight that would undoubtedly be on TV, on a major network and a very winnable one for Ward.

I think this is another good step up type fight for Ward. He should be to good for Ravelo. I'd love to see Ward in next with Green that would be a great match-up & as Amat said very winnable for Ward!
The Best There Is, The Best There Was, The Best There Ever Will Be
I gotta say that for a while Andre looked to be going nowhere...
I mean really. No news on him no opponents. The quality of oppostion...
But I gotta say Rubin, now Ravelo is pretty good for him. By the end of this year he should be fighting ranked guys.
How about going after Vera? Now there's a fucken great move for Ward.![]()
