I know Gomez is gonna lose and I am a Cotto fan but I hope Gomez makes a decent showing of himself at least....He is just such a nice guy lol...When I was interviewing him the other day he had nothing bad to say about anyone in the sport and gave Cotto all the respect in the world....I don't think this kid posesses an ounce of arrogance....

As for Cintron I don't know if he was trying to intimidate Tony by making him think he had worked out up in the same training camp Rocky Balboa grew his beard in the 4th episode but he is going to get his ass kicked no matter what

Gomez is a nice guy, would be a fairytale upset, yet it would bugger up any chance of a future Mayweather Cotto fight.
I think Gomez will put up a decent fight, certainly won't be an early night IMO, but just hasn't got the tools to win.

I don't know if I have anticipated a fight as much as this one since Pavlik/Taylor I; at least as far as the Margarito/Cintron goes. Plus Cotto/Gomez is going to be exciting; and I hope Gomez has a good showing as I like that kat and he's about the only one from The Contender I ever liked.

If Cintron can go and stay deep with Tony, this could be brutal. As much as I have shown disdain for Kermit, I actually hope he shows well. Marago's my boy and I want him to win{and believe he will visciously}but good luck to Cintron{I know, I know, it's shocking to hear me say that}

Tony needs a haircut. He's looking a little Menudoish right there. As for Cintron, I don't know what it is about him, but he just seems like a weird dude. He looks like a washed up porn star in that first pic.

Alfonso looks like he is trying way too hard to look tough, while Cotto just looks relaxed and confident.

I respect Alfonso once he gets into that ring, he always gives it everything he has, and I do respect that.

But I've come to lose some respect for Alfonso the man. He has changed more than anyone from The Contender, and for me, he has just gone too Hollywood. His head has swelled with self importance, and it just has been a turn off for me personally. He's not the same guy that I became a fan of.

I used to think the same thing...Truth is he has been snubbed (Kiind of like they do in Hollywood but for lack of a better word) by everyone...Promoters, managers etc...always just given that "He is just a guy from the contender series" treatment...His PR lady Melissa DeVolintine who is a very nice lady was telling me about a bit of the treatment they used to recieve and still do....TBH I almost did it myself...I was contacted by his team before the Gatti fight to conduct an interview (when pr people are asking you to do interviews you know they are having a hard time getting press)....I had blown it off and blown it off until one day I said the hell with it and set up a time....Here is a funny story...

I was e-mailing Curtis telling him I was going to interview Gomez...In the e-mail I said Gomez was going to get his ass kicked in the Gatti fight...Like I said I labled him one of those "Contender" fighters....Well long story short I sent it to his PR team by mistake....Man talk about your bonehead moves....I felt like Phillip Seymor Hoffman in Boogie Nights hitting myself in the head saying "Your an IDIOT" about 20 times...They took it in good stride though and get that treatment a lot....

Whole point is no one really takes him seriously....if he was never on the contender people would take him more serious...he has a hard time trying to break that mold and show he is a legit fighter.....

There is really nothing hollywood about him and there is zero arrogance in the guy...like I said in my earlier post he is a genuinly nice guy doing his best to earn respect....wi or lose I like the kid....BTW my last interview with him should be up in a day or so...I even ask him what the whole deal was with the videos and his being in the hospital etc....

Sub-conscious choice of Attire by Gomez.....all black with a tail ?Just needs 6 friends who can do the carrying He's a nice enough guy but He looks like he just came off a bottle of Gerber's baby food.I dont doubt he will go after Cotto though.
