If they fought I'd favor Abraham by TKO.
I really don't think Pavlik is unbeatable. He managed to get two very close wins over Jermain Taylor, a fighter who his last 4 out of 5 previous opponents could claim they beat him as well.

I think Abraham would be a tough fight for Kelly. He'd probably start favourite but Abraham has never been KTFO by anyone even when his jaw was hanging from his face.

    It's a tough fight imo.
Someone whos as busy as Pavlik and throws the straighter punches can get to Abraham.

I'm not saying Pavliks invincible cause I think Winky, Hopkins and Joe can beat him. But I am saying he beats Abraham and Sturm.

I think AA waits too long. You wait on Kelly Pavlik, you're getting KTFO. I'd choose JC and maybe B Hop to beat Kelly but Winky,Aa and Strum are getting their asses whipped imo. You don't stand in front of a punching machine like Pav and survive imo,not with those guys styles.

I think Wright has success against Kelly because Wright has his own attack and he's very good at neutralizing the other guys offense, I don't think Kelly would be able to put up his typical punch numbers against Winky.

That's probably true but take into account,Jermain Taylor was stunning Wright and even though Winky was blocking shots,he was still being visibly moved. Factor in that Kelly is bigger, stronger and longer than JT AND he has an excellent jab and I think he would be too much for Winky. Kelly wouldn't be like Tito, where Tito would punch, see it blocked and become discouraged. Kelly would let his hands go ad I think he would wear out and eventually stop Wright. Too big,too strong imo.

I'm not denying that, I still think Winky could win but the fact is his legs looked a little gone last fight and while he's my favorite fighter in boxing, that's a bit discouraging. I was just pointing out he doesn't belong in Abraham and Sturm's class and I still think him to be Kelly's toughest challenge.

I think AA-Sturm pretty much needs to happen if either have any shot at Pavlik.

I think AA's style in some ways could give Kelly problems, not so much winning rounds but Kelly just getting lulled to sleep a bit by AA just holding his hands up. I could definitely see him getting caught and hurt by AA but the thing that tips it for me is Abraham's shitty stamina, Pavlik would come on late and get a late stoppage/UD.

Good analysis Gamo, I think pretty much the same although I don't think Abraham gets his ass whipped. He very well may lose but his style could actually be frustrating to Pavlik.

Pavlik loves to fight coming forwards, but Abraham likes to fight off the back foot. He'll happily soak up pressure on the ropes and then close out each round with an explosive attack. He doesn't sustain his attacks long but he sure as hell hits hard. He almost had Miranda out on his feet a couple times and has a highlight reel of one punch KO's to rival any fighter in boxing right now.

Kelly is vulnurable to being hit and Abraham can really bang.

He never had Miranda close to out on his feet. Where do you come up with this stuff? If you actually watch the fight, there are only a few times he actually connects clean. Yea, he had Miranda backing up here and there, but to say he was even close to out on his feet is absurd!

You may well be right the AA doesn't get KO'd, but I can't see Pavlik losing to Abraham. The only way Pavlik loses is if he gets stupid doesn't respect AA's power. Kelly could keep him on the end of jab all night. He has too much reach and too good a workrate. Pavlik also has a good enough chin. Abraham would land some shots, but he wouldn't land enough.

Pavlik by UD or late stoppage.

Yeah I can I agree with you to an extent I just don't think Abraham would get KTFO as you put it.

As for Winky and B Hop I don't think they'd do well against Pavlik. Winky is done as a top level fighter imo, his legs arn't there any more. He'd not have enough power to earn Pavliks respect and would spend most of the fight on the defensive.

B Hop I'm not sure about. I don't think he's active enough these days to outpoint Kelly and he hasn't knocked anyone out in years. But with Pavlik relentlessly and rather crudely coming forward it is possible that Bernard's famous withering shots could repeatedly find their target and hurt Kelly.

As for Joe Calzaghe, he's simply too fast, and too good for Pavlik and beats him in a clear decision imo.
