How did I know Lyle was going to respond to that, I have seen the thread we both have been on it. Remember Foreman did not last long as a champion, he never did have the consistency or mental strength. Frazier was a stone smaller, and did not have the defensive skills nor speed of Tyson. Foreman could take a punch but not for 12 rounds against Tyson. The Bruno fight, Tyson had been out of the ring the longest since he became champion, broke his hand, tried killing himself and other crap that was going on, and Bruno landed a punch, so did Bonecrusher and Tucker but so what he came back and won.

Well #1 Foreman had to defend his title vs ALI...Tyson would have lost to him too #2 76 wins 68 KO's while suffering 5 losses and only 1 by KO is consistent in my opinion. Tyson was consistent as well, ALL of Tyson's losses are by KO #3 Joe Frazier had head movement similar to Tyson's...Frazier moved more up and down (which Tyson did on occasion) and Tyson was more side to side but they were both there infront of everyone to be hit. Tyson wasn't so much of a defensive wizard as the guys he fought were afraid to throw punches because they would be countered. As for offense Tyson was very similar to Joe Frazier...add in an uppercut and an overhand right and Joe Frazier IS Mike Tyson. Joe's mental toughness was second to none which is also why him losing in 2 rounds to Foreman was amazing.

Foreman was still able to be champion at 45 years old after learning a new style and changing his whole personality....he was a totally different fighter in his second try at it....and that guy was smart enough to beat Tyson....the Prime Foreman was just tough enough to beat Tyson.

Say what you want master but George would of never lost to a fighter of the level of buster Douglas. And you talk about how long George was champ but in that time he had 10x the better wins then Tyson so whats that say about Tysons ever. Let me tell yuo it means it was a weak era and Tyson lucky he was in a weak era when he fought mostly bums.

Foreman lost to Tommy Morrison and the prime lost to Jimmy Young. Tyson at 45 could have ko'ed Moorer with his weak ass chin.

Say what you want about Moore but he still pulled a win over Holyfeild a guy that Tyson could not go 12 rounds with but a old Foreman could. Funny a man that way past his prime doing better then a much younger Tyson did and dont take my word for it ask Holyfeild. I am so sick of you saying Tyson could do this and that but he never did so what that tell you.

Tyson at 37 could not beat Danny Williams or Kevin McBride....

Morrison beats either prime for prime...

BTW Jimmy Young was a good boxer who had a draw with Shavers, holds a win over Lyle, went 15rds with Ali, and was only KO'd twice once when past his prime against Cooney and once against a young murderous Shavers....

The more you go on about this the less you show that you are basing your opp on boxing knowledge and more on just being a fan

Really do not want to compare fighters against different fighter, Lyle started it.

Moorer beat an injured Holyfield as he proved in their rematch, so he was lucky to become a champion. Moorer chin was weak and as Tua proved can be KO'ed quickly.

IMO Prime Tyson beats prime Foreman.

I am not going to argue the point with you...You are not the only person I have ever heard say that....and do not get me wrong it is possible...I would bet on George...

I was just making the point that a loss to Young does not mean anything...Young was a good fighter and fought very good comp in an era where the Journeymen were the equivelant of many of todays champions...and Tyson lost to much worse...other then that it just comes down to one of those...we will never know type situations,,,

Thanks for the compromise and I did not want to sound like a Tyson nut hugger but I remember those early fights where these heavyweights would throw big wild punches at Tyson and he would bob and weave and not get hit and then counter with the big left hooks and KO the big heavyweights, which is how I see the fight. I am sure Foreman would have take many of the blows but the accumulation and the speed of them would eventually tell in my mind. But who really knows? But it would be one of the most exciting fights of all time.

Did or did not Michael Moorer beat Evander Holyfield? Mike Tyson couldn't pull that off, he couldn't even go the distance....an over 40 Foreman could though....amazing isn't it.

There is a reason Morrison beat the old Foreman it's because Morrison BOXED him...had Tommy chosen to brawl he would have be knocked the fuck out like the 68 other guys who tried it.

Donovan Rudduck was inconsistant which is why he never won a title...and he was more dangerous than Ron Lyle, Ken Norton, Joe Frazier, George Chuvalo, or an undefeated Michael Moorer.....Moorer was 35(30 KO)-0-0 and had just beaten Evander Holyfield when Foreman fought him, Foreman being 45 years old at the time....but no you're right Mike Tyson beating Donovan Rudduck was much more impressive
