Not the way he can punch....those guys in MMA are bigger douchebags and drama queens than anyone in boxing INCLUDING Floyd Mayweather

He's not "terrible" he's just not on Margarito's level is all. The guy can win SOME fights vs good opponents at welterweight.

I for one would be VERY interested in a Cintron-Quintana match or a Cintron-Collazo match

I was impressed with tony as well, Mostly because he continued to plow forward while getting hit a couple of times each round by some big shots from cintron, tony was just absolutly convinced that no matter how hard kermit may hit they were not going to affect him, you heard some pretty big oooooohhhhh's at my house from time to time but tony just smiled and threw.....i think he may be a little to slow to beat cotto but other than that who knows what could happen.

Well look both Teath and Jt i not going to say PBf is not a great he is somewhere in top 25 or 30 and he beat some good names and really is fighting over his best weight. But i think Cotto while find a way to end his reign if they ever fight personal i think the fight wont happen for a few years. I think some how Oscar at 35 going to put one last performance and beat Floyde some and then they rematch. So by 2010 or 2011 i think Cotto while have fixed his flaws enough to beat Floyde i wish Cotto the best hope he wins the fight but i going to have to wait to see it but i can wait and it will happen and hope Cotto does not let me done hasn't dispointed me yet.

Good post JT and you know the score man...

You've been here long enough to know about all the shit that was talked about Margarito.

    Now Cotto will do
    What Zab didn't do.
    What Baldomir didn't do.
    What PBF didn't do.
    What SSM didn't do.

That's fight him. All those 4 guys had the fight offered to them and they all turned it down.

But alas Cotto will prevail, I expect him to box smart and use ring generalship to win the fight.
His jab will be key in this fight.

KO-ing Gomez is very impressive considering Peter Manfredo a natural middleweight didn't even hurt Gomez.

I say Floyd Mayweather Jr. will wait to see who wins a Cotto-Margarito matchup to make his move....if Cotto wins by KO I figure Floyd will retire or he'd be better off retiring.
I don't see that at all. Mayorga who is a bigger version of Margarito was absolutely TKFO by Oscar De La HOya, the first time anybody to my knowledge did that with headshots against Ricardo, but Mayweather wasn't scared at all to face Oscar who is very dangerous puncher. I mean Margarito used to be one of Oscar's sparring partners which Oscar didn't have all that much trouble with. That being said I can't see Cotto ko'ing Margarito... he almost didn't ko Judah, and he couldn't KO Malignaggi(or whatever), Ndou, Mosley, and other guys who are tough like Margarito even though he was landing bombs. However Cotto punches like Foreman in that he doesn't have a whole lot of snap to his punches, but he has more force behind his punches than anyone I see below 160, and that has an effect because it ruins his opponent's equilibrium when they are hit by him.

Cotto was at 140 vs Malinaggi and fought a round then took a round off, he's a lot more comfortable at 147 as you can see. Judah was moving away from Cotto the whole time and Miguel had to stalk him down. N'Dou has never been stopped, and neither has Shane Mosley.

Margarito COULD stay away however Tony doesn't fight like that he has to brawl and vs Cotto it's suicide, it has been for every guy who has fought Cotto.

And even when Cotto DOESN'T stop someone he beats the CRAP out of them, breaking bones...look at their faces hell look at Cotto-Branco he stopped him on a punch to the freaking shoulder!!!

Mosley was stopped by Vernon Forest. However NDOU hasn't been stopped, but to my knowledge hasn't foughten any big punchers except Cotto.

I definitely think Cotto will bust Tony up,but I think Tony will be returning the fire, especially in the form of uppercuts. And Margarito has never been stopped either and his whole career has been at welterweight. I still don't think Paul Williams beating Margarito was a fluke... Paul's footwork early didn't allow Tony to get off to a quick start, and Margarito is so limited athletically I think great athletes like COtto and Mayweather could avoid a lot of his punches, and counter where nobody else could.

Mosley has NEVER been stopped...he's been knocked down but NEVER stopped....you had best check your facts before you post them.

You don't uppercut a guy who throws hooks like Cotto without leaving yourself wide damn open.
