As for Margarito what can I say man... El Gamo, myself and a couple of others can be proud to say that we are few and selected people here who have always believed that Margarito would be a handful for anyone. We never claimed him as great or the most athletic all we would say is he's got as good of a chance as anyone.
Someone help me out here who was the poster that would always relate to Margarito as just a "journeyman" Margarito seems to have really learned a lot from the Williams loss.

Gomez has no shame, I mean the people who were on here talking about upsets and Gomez having a chance or Gomez wining rounds were just talking out of their ass. If you couldn't see Gomez was outclassed then you need to rethink the way you view fighters. The margin between Gomez and Cotto was fucken huge. Tackie and SSM are fucken worlds apart. I would have Gomez take a short recess and then bounce back late this year Oct./Nov. I would like to see Gomez face off against any of these guys:

    Isaac Hlatswayo
Soto Karass (How would you like that Gamo?)
    Delvin Rodriguez
    Sebastian Lujan
    Jesse Feliciano

As for Cotto well what can I say, thats my man. And the more I see him in the ring the more I see him grow as a fighter. It'll be tough cause I like both Margarito and Cotto I've rooted for both for years and if they face off wow!!!
I gotta say I think Cotto wins by Decision. It will a tough fight all the way through but I think Cotto ability to trade and box will be the deciding factor.

That is a super post. Really really super. I've been a fan and defended Tony and Cotto more than anyone except you, you've ben a fan for longer and shows you know your stuff

I totally agree,I never said Tony was the best ever or anything like that but I honestly believe that he has the desire and style to give anyone at WW a tough fight and he proved it. Cintron was doing well from range, and Tony just adjusted, used head movement and a jab to get inside and throw bombs. He threw 133 punches in round, that is INSANE!!! All of them look solid

I also agree that Kermit can go back to the drawing board. Listen, just because Antonio Margarito can walk through your shots doesn't mean everyone else at the weight can and DOES NOT mean you're a bum. People can say what they like about Cintron but very very few fighters at WW would have been willing to walk through what Tony did to get inside and win. Kermit has deadly power.

Yeah and I feel FULLY vindicated: there have been SOOOOOOO many times in the past when Tony has been called a bumloser, journeyman, what has he done etc. Not bad for 2 time world champ and 7/8 RING top 10 fighters he's beaten hey?

Oh,I'd love to see a Gomez v Soto Karass fight but Soto would beat his ass from round 1 to 12. Good posting.

Good stuff Gamo. I sent some Rep. your way.
How I wish frozen and Starr were still here...

As for Karass vs. Gomez, I don't know man I think Gomez can give him a good run. It would be interesting to see.

First of all my hats off to TONY and COTTO.
this wasn't no surprise. at first i thought because of CINTRON picking up Emanuel thire was going to be some contention in the fight but knowing how MY TIJUANO is hungry right now and wants to be a CHAMP which he already is in MY books shows me that he is capable of defeating anyone in his division.

Second...........I already knew also that COTTO was going to man handle Gomez. So sad to see a contender..ohh i;m sorry pretender...come out of his corner and think he was going to win. The face that COTTO left him was like quasimoto, all he needed was a hump on his back. to much pressure from outside the ring got too him(GOMEz)and that was the result. COtto was dancing switching to south paw which he doesn't do in other fights really. I had a party and when COTTO was bouncing he actually was bouncing to the music. how rythmatic was that.

Anyhoo......TONY vs COTTO...i know how much excitement this will bring. i love both these boxers but if i had to pick one i CHOOSE my TIJUANO. HE has a chin. he loves the fire and the intensity that's in the ring. I just think that we've seen COTTO get chin checked a couple of times but those boxers are not TONY.

that's my opinion and i'm sticking to it.............so i bid you all a good afternoon!!!!!

I going to say something that probably will make me the most hated poster here.

The fight I want to see is Gomez vs Chavez Jr, and I'm picking Gomez by TKO in the 7
