Actually, to be precise, snakes evolved from lizards, and so the venom developed after that break away{for some species}.

But yeah; I take good care of them, but they have to be the most self contained animals ever created. Very nasty; which is just one reason I like having them.

I knew what you meant Clubber. I usually am not such a "Mr. I'm So Smart" type of person, but I tend to get a little geeky with snakes. A product of spending so much time studying them and being on message boards with real snake-nerds
