i have put £250 on Hopkins.
And i didnt put Taylor into the equation because Taylor is not a similar fighter to Calzaghe, Bika used rough tactics to get in Joes face and it gave him fits similar to what i expect B-Hop to do.
In the Hopkins fight Taylor was looking to counter punch like Hopkins was and the style match up made it an akward fight. Calzaghe has a completely different style hence why i didnt include Taylor when i was talking about Bika.
OK here you go guyz...
For CALZAGHE:
1. Bookkeeper
2. yvonne
3.
For HOPKINS:
1. ACEA
2.
3.
What's this? An avatar bet...![]()
I'll back B-Hop, I don't want a bunch of bets but I will take a bet with someone even with Joe getting the odds in Vegas. Vegas also had Winky the favorite...Too many tricks up B-hops sleeve he may frustrate Joe, and i don't think Joe's punch will phase B-hop. don't get me wrong I like Joe, but he is in some deep shit come next weekend.
My heart says JC but my head says B-Hopdamn

I'll take that bet Bookkeeper; for reps. I'm not changing my sig or anything. I want Joe to win, but I actually think Hop will ko Joe in the 8th or 9th rounds![]()
And no disrespect Bookkeeper; or to any other Calzaghe fan, but that dude ain't knocking out anyone except maybe Enzo if he misses the pads at the gym.
Awe, WTF...I'm game.
200 reps ? I Already have the normal sig bet With Lefty.....Remember Lefty ?
Or some sort of Bet involving this Post Icon....for 1 week you would have to post It at the end of Every post you make,no exceptions.
Calzaghe just got KTFO ![]()
Im just thinking out loud...This has probably been done before.
Work rate? Work rate? Im so sick of hearing this statement. Effectiveness is what will matter. Whoever lands the more effective and telling shots will win the fight. Hopkins is a counter puncher, he lost to Taylor waiting for Taylor to throw em, so he could counter. Against a guy who throws em a lot he will pick him apart. A lefty who throws a lot is the perfect fighter for Hopkins to dominate.
If this fight were 3 years ago this would be a no brainer, Hopkins would kill him. Only thing is Hopkins is so friggin old, 43, too old not to have to give away a couple rounds by coasting. This will be a close fight. Joe will build an early lead until B-Hop can time him and hurt him some and pull out some rounds. Will it be enough? Who knows, but this fight goes 115-113 either way unless Hopkins can KO him.
Fact is, if this were a Prime Hopkins, he'd be a 4-1 favorite! Hopkins against a left hander who throws first, Jeesh, thats what he dreams of. But he is ancient and has to loaf a few rounds. If he can steal a couple close rounds he can win the fight, but just as easily he could lose a couple close ones and lose the fight 116-112.
I've been looking forward to this fight for a while. Even an over the hill Hopkins is still by far the toughest opponent Calzaghe has faced. Too close to pick for me, although I think Hopkins is good money at whatever weight he's been getting. I think betting Joe at -220 is way too risky.
Calzaghe wins easily with his jab and his speed. Let's see Hopkins try to counterpunch Calzaghe's jab.
