    Bhop via tko 11th!

seriously i hate to see joe lose but im really starting to think bhop is going to stop him.
Hard one to choose from like i said in the other thread if Calzaghe boxes from the outside and uses his jab he should out point Hopkins. But if he decides to stand and trade with Hopkins he will get roughed up big time, he will get badly frustrated, plus his rhythm will get off set by Hopkins clinching ect. History has showed Calzaghe has struggled in rough tough fights aka Bika, aka Reid, aka Salem.

Last time I checked Nard hasnt scored a Ko or Tko with 1 punch in quite a few years

Joe will beat Hopkins on way to a wide, ridiculous 12 round desicion... Hopkins will be lucky to win 2-3 rounds, after that he will be outclassed and out gunned and will ultimately retire Hopkins

And Calzaghe hasn't had a KO since 1997 before he was even champion

I know you're half tongue in cheek there but Calzaghe isnt Michael Moorer and you know it.

Hopkins will be tricky but thats it. He sure as hell hasnt got better since the Taylor fights. Calzaghe is better than any of that, and whats more...he is active and near his best.

Anyway, well done on the lines game score ICB!!

don't matter shit what age hopkins is or isn't

he stood little chance against joe in his prime and has zero chance now.

ROy was big enough to come out and say joe was to good a fighter to risk with the reward he would of gaine from it. hopkins can't say that, he fought nobodys after the breakdown of a career high pay day (then) to fight joe.

Hopkins is a counter puncher that works well against piss poor fightrs or vastly smaller fighters. every time he has fought a good natural talent at said weight he has lost. EVERY time.

we all know the aftermath will be joe beat a "40+" fighter. but anyone who thinks hopkins will be remotley competetive in this fight is as pissed as i am now.

I don't drink and secondly your underrating Hopkins far too much, you will be eating your words i guarantee you that, if Hopkins loses it won't be by stoppage no way on this earth, and it for certain won't be by one sided decision loss. Your bad mouthing Hopkins but won't this be the best opponent Calzaghe has ever fought by far ??

Calzaghe by UD, it will be interesting to see how Calzaghe handles the big US stage instead of fighting at home, Hopkins is 43 and it does matter!
What he has achieved at this stage of his career is extraordinary but Joe Balls will have his measure in this one.

It will be a Great achievement when Joe wins as he is going up in weight and beating the man universally recognised as the No.1 Light Heavyweight in the World.

Kessler is still a better scalp though interms of ability at this stage of their careers (Hopkins/Kessler)

Calzaghe will start the fight with 2 guns blazing, but he will get knocked down in mid-rounds. From there, it will be back and forth action to the finish with Joe rallying and out-pointing Bernard in late rounds.

    Calzaghe by SD.

i reckon Calzaghe ll snatch the first few rounds then B-Hop ll start getting dirty using a headbutt and a few low blows to get Joe off his game. Then Hop ll probibly clinch and get right in Calzaghes face as much as possible making Joe fight Bhops fight. For some reason i can see Joe getting knocked down at some stage because he tends to get cocky and stick his chin out and Bhop ll send his ass to the canvas. I think Bhop on points 115-113 (hopkins deducted a point for headbutt)

Hopkins will start roughing up Calzaghe early. Mid-way through the fight a lumped up Calzaghe breaks his brittle hand on Hopkins head. Hopkins continues to beat up Calzaghe. Calzaghe quits in his corner around the 9th. Calzaghe groupies blame the broken hand.
