He's a local fighter. He couldn't send ten thousand fans from a nation of 300 million to Wales to watch him fight yet Calzaghe can get thousands from three million Welsh people. If Welsh and UK fans had the equivalent market tv/attendance money breakdown and population as the US Joe would do vastly bigger TV numbers. That's because he's an entertaining fighter, unlike Bernard.
Manny Pac, Erik Morales, Marco Antonio Barrera all did great numbers in the US. They are not US fighters. Why? Cuz people gave a damn about them. Nobody gives a damn about Calzaghe except the Welsh. He proved it in his fights with Kessler and Bika. The Kessler fight was the lowest rating fighte ever. The Bika fight one of the lowest.
