He proved it in his fights with Kessler and Bika. The Kessler fight was the lowest rating fighte ever. The Bika fight one of the lowest.

If you're going to judge Calzaghe by how well he does on America TV then you have to judhe Hopkins on how well he'd do on UK TV. By any fair method of judging their respective popularity Calzaghe wins easily, like he will on Saturday night.

Calzaghe will be the home fighter come fight night. Hopkins doesnt have broad appeal because he is essentially boring to watch. Calzaghe could have fought in Europe and sold out a stadium and instead comes to Hopkins back yard where they are still trying to sell tickets. Where are the Hopkins fans? They dont actually exist in significant numbers. And for VD to turn this into a popularity contest is just silly because its obvious that Calzaghe does have a significant and vocal fanbase.

Calzaghe will win this and it is Hopkins that will be "crushed". I have given my reasons why on a number of threads now. Anybody can make a vacuous statement, eh?
