I thought it was very close but missed the 4th round so I'll have to review it better tonight but it was just a question of how you score fights imo. I found myself rewarding a stiff Hopkins shot much more then I would a Calzaghe amateur style flurry. But then there were times where Joe's dominance could not be denied.

I have got to be honest, Joe is a bit lucky because he fought stupid for a good majority of this fight. There was no reason he shouldn't have been jabbing Hopkins at all times, the jab was neutralizing Hopkins' jumps inside and the jab was like a wall. Calzaghe did better when the fight went inside on his terms then he did with Hopkins jumping in and forcing them to fight square.

Dirty dirty fight though no doubt. I hate that stuff but at least Cortez was quick to break.
