He also thinks Duddy destroys Pavlik in 5 rounds i just don't take any notice of his posts.
Ah another moron, we seem to have a few recently. [b]It's funny I used to think TysonBruno was the stupidest man to ever put his fingers to a computer keyboard but now I realise he's actually a few rungs up the evolutionary ladder from some of our other recent members.

Calzaghe's just a much tougher opponent than Taylor. I like Pavlik and think he could actually be better at 168 but I'd still go with Calzaghe. Well for now at least, Calzaghe's gotta slow down one of these days.

l'm surprised alot of posters think calzaghe would destroy pavlik and have an early ko...

i like calzaghe, but if anyone is getting ko'ed it would be calzaghe for sure...

i picked calzaghe in a hard fought decision...but pavlik would hit him harder than he has ever been hit....

calzaghe doesnt hit harder than taylor and he doesnt even throw that much faster either..nothing to indicate calzaghe would ko him early..pavlik is light years away from peter manfrado..

although i think calzaghe is better all around than taylor, pavlik would be calzaghe toughest and most impressive win to date, by far...

thats why i said to date..

in my opinion a calzaghe victory over kessler would be a better win at the moment..

    kessler is more refined...

pavlik will be on there level next year

although kess, pav, and calzaghe are very good, they havent fought the elite opponents consistantly like the other P4Pers so it is very hard to seperate them...

truthfully i think they all could beat each other on any given night at 168 in 2008... but one of them will probably rise above the other two in 2008....

my pick on the poll was calzaghe by decision, but i could have just as easliy went with pav by KO... pavlik's power is still underrated, if that can be possible ..pavlik has a shot at beating anyone, he is the ultimate punchers chance type of fighter...

To me Joe looked like he couldnt hurt Hopkins at all. You think he could hurt Pavlik? I don't think so. Pavlik hits way harder than Hopkins and Kessler and he is way busier. He throws that jab out there and he is very accurate with the right hand. He can control the center of the ring but he often never does because he always has his man moving back. He throws around a 100 punches a round and never seems to tire. Look at the Taylor knock down. He ate tons of right hands and got right back up . That would have put away most middle weights. That just shows how conditioned he is. If he didn't drop his hands to show off he would not have had that problem. But I guess you live and learn. To say Calzaghe would destroy him is crazy. He got knocked down and hurt a few times by a middle aged man. This sounds kind of like the chances that people gave him with Miranda and Taylor. He destroyed both of them. Pavlik is the hardest hitting middle wieght in the world. And that 160-168. Miranda is the hardest hitting at 168 and Pavlik has more power than him. Or maybe his chin is just that good.

Pavlik KO's glass Joe. Quit slappin, he wouldn't hurt Pavlik, to retirement he would go. Well no, then he can fight RJJ to see who will retire first.

Actually, both Pavlik and Calzaghe sometimes make stupid mistake by showboating and leaving their chin exposed.

I would favor Pavlik for power and chin advantage.

    Pavlik by KO.

Calzaghe by UD. Quite a wide UD aswell. Be interesting to see how many people vote Pavlik from now-on seen as though Joe had trouble with Hopkins.

Hopkins is the one fight nobody will ever look good against. I'd actually expect him to beat Pavlik.

    Here's what I see

Pavlik doesn't have the size advantage over Calzaghe, he doesn't have the speed, he only has the power....that's what Lacy had and that's what Kessler had and although I think Pavlik is better than both those guys I think his style and his handspeed leave him wide open for a guy with quick hands to counterpunch him ALL DAY LONG.

Calzaghe will move and counter and just eat Pavlik up....I think Kelly is a limited fighter when it comes to judging his skills other than his power. The BEST fighters Pavlik has beaten (Miranda and Taylor) were drawn into brawls and subsequently lost....Joe Calzaghe is too smart to be forced into a brawl and his hands are fast enough to do real damage to Pavlik.

Calzaghe wins by late stoppage....you can't fight the way Pavlik fights and stick around for a long time

You are kidding about the size I hope. Pavlik is a monster at 6'2.5" 76 inch wing span . He runs around 180 lbs between fights. He has a 25 inch arm length. Not to mention his power over him. His chin over him. He throws alot of punches and no one really has ever stood in and traded with him. You can say Miranda did for a while then he felt the power and was pushed back into the ropes. I think there is not a middle wieght in the world that can stand in and trade power shots with Kelly. He is a machine.

Hey Akron of coarse were gonna stand up for Pavlik, u being close to the YO and I grew up and still live 2 streets down from his house. We were kids together running the same streets and trained down Southside myself. He hasn't changed a bit since "fame", still goes out with the guys still on the southside. These fools are given their opinions but have no facts. He is a monster in and out of those ropes. Thanks Akron for giving facts.

...that's not a "huge size advantage" against someone who has fought their entire career bar this last fight at 168.

Joe's speed will negate Kelly's power...don't see it if you don't want to but sharp punching quick southpaws aren't anybody's favorite to fight and I don't think Kelly will be any different. As for Kelly's chin, where was that vs Taylor I mean everyone said "Jermain taylor can't punch" well he floored Pavlik and it wasn't a flash knockdown either

Your qualifier of "there is not a MIDDLEWEIGHT in the world that can stand and trade power shots with Kelly"....I think everyone agrees with that however, Joe Calzghe isn't a middleweight now is he? And Joe won't be standing and trading with him either will he? Joe will get Kelly to come at him in a wild wreckless manner and Joe will counter him and land better shots.
