Hi guys, the best supermiddle Ezzard Charles and the Best Lightheavy. When he beat Luois he was a lightheavy. If not for his illness he might have been the best Heavy .

GOOD CALL!!! On that one Scrap....Ezzard was one hell of a fighter and could beat any man at LHW at any given time in the history of the sport...he was that good...Now to those who really don't know much about him...I am not saying he was the fastest or most skilled but as an all around fighter he had the ability to face anyone and a win over any of the other greats would not be an upset by any means...He held wins over Archie Moore 3 times, Charley Burley and Joey Maxim...Was a vicious fighter until he killed a guy in the ring then turned into more of a boxer and actually hesitated on going for the KO at times....Retired with a 96-25 record and 58 by KO...Most losses coing towards the end of his career...

Some good clips of his fights here...those who really love the sport and don't know about him should take the time to look..

He went 23 with the rock, ripping his nose open in the process.
In fact with modern refereeing Charles would have stopped Marciano

Now with modern conditioning, nutrition and training fighters are finely tuned machines.

Back then they were gamebred animals.

There hundreds of fights from back when that would have been stopped by todays standerds. Archie moore would have been stopped countless times probably lol...half his wins would be losses.
