Forbes is doing well still behind tho.
“If you even dream of beating me you'd better wake up and apologize.” Muhammad Ali.
Round 5
Oscar is throwing the jab in bunches, I wish he would stay consistent with it 3 minutes a round, it serves him well. He opens with the jab again but Oscar is taking a short step back after the jab, trying to catch Forbes coming in with the left hook. When Forbes comes in though with the jab early, De La Hoya isn't letting the left hook though and Forbes is doing some nice punching coming forward but not landing much. Oscar has let off the gaspedal and is getting outhustled this round halfway through. Forbes is very comfortable moving backwards and sometimes stands his ground and invites De La Hoya to punch. De La Hoya hasn't landed much of anything this round except for a good body shot on the ropes at the 10 second mark. Still, nothing else and I think you have to give that round to Forbes. He outworked Oscar.
Damn Stevie could outpoint this closet queeen if he would just let his hands go more...when he lets off his combo's he look great
C'MON FORBES

I've scored every round 10-8 for Forbes I don't know what your talking about.![]()
Oscar goes for it At 1;10 of the round in the corner....Ref yells 'show me something'Oscar puts it on late in round inflicts some pain...Stevie cut over left eye...pretty sizable
I love how Forbes has marked up Oscar's face more in 6 rounds, than Mayweather did after 12.![]()
Round 6
De La Hoya comes out jabbing early. Forbes has his legs wide apart, and he's really shortened and straightened his punches so he can throw a lot of them. Oscar tries to flurry Forbes and Forbes slips every punch before being caught on the way up with a stiff left hook. Forbes has this figured out defensively it looks like, and Forbes is backing Oscar up with punches. Oscar picks off punches tremendously like we saw versus Floyd so not much is landing. De La Hoya flurries up top and lands a good left hook behind the guard of Forbes right on the side of the head. Forbes recovers, might be cut, and shoots a low jab that De La Hoya again counters with a step back left hook. That punch is working for him this round. De La Hoya ends the round loudly with a big right hand hand.

Round 7
A good rebound round for Oscar, this fight is in the second half, a place not many thought it would be. Forbes seems to be a bit worn down and is not throwing in combinations so much anymore. De La Hoya stalking forward with the jab but not a lot of power punching, he's still stepping back after the jab trying to connect with the left. Oscar stops jabbing for about a minute and Forbes doesn't return much. De La Hoya ends the lull and attacks hard to be body with a series of hooks, he has Forbes trapped and Forbes looks hurt. Maybe a bit in survival mode but slips off and the round ends. Oscar really looking mean.
This whole thing just annoys me.....DLH looks like shit IMO nothing impressive about him tonight and this is supposed to be a showcase for him....
I am starting to believe a fight with Pacquiao might be something I would like to see...Manny would kick the shit out of the Golden Fairy
