I actually never really got hit clean in the head that often as I got good rolling with blows... I never intended on turning perfessional or anything but it was always in the back of my mind... Kinda like a "what if" type of thing.
I although healthy and fully recovered now flipped over my car three times and the engin shattered both my legs. I have 11 pins in them. I also went through the windsield but due to the engin being on my legs I layed on the hood as the car flipped...
That was that with boxing...
Although I have no lasting effects due to it happening when I was about 17 and being young and healthy, my legs do throb when it rains...
I'm very lucky... I can still run and workout and stuff but more on the eliptical due to the pounding of the roadwork would damage my legs...
Yeah, I miss boxing...
It was a good escape...![]()

WOW...wanna hear something weird?
My ring fun ended in 1994
I fell 44 feet to the pavement while electrically wiring a facial sign on a building. The Boom I was on, it's extension cable snapped. I started reeling in with the bucket. Once in rolled in for a bit at high speed, it shattered the bucket and I went down hard. Landed on my feet. 22 fractures total. Both ankles have screws in them, right Tibia has a steel plate in it as I sheered off my Tibia Plateau and drove it right up through my knee destroying the cartilage.. left kneecap is wired closed. My pelvis was shattered and I had to wear a dome, and I also broke my right hip and had to lay flat on my back for 12 weeks. Then I was an impatient in a rehab center for a year trying to learn how to walk again.
I can walk now fine after many many surgeries, but Arthritis is kicking in and my knees are very unstable.
It was actually more than 44 feet I fell, as i was already accelerating with the boom when the bucket hit the lower sleeve and shattered. i was tossed like a ragdoll!hehe
