Loew has the right attitude. Joecalz slapped around an old American great, it wouldn't happen to Kelly. As soon as Pav touches that chin Joe will know he ain't in Kansas or Wales anymore. Ive seen Kelly do it since amatures, the kid was the truth well before he made Bronco crawl like a baby across the ring or Zertuchi fall asleep standing up. He is the best America got so I just wish Joe would quit targeting old champs and fight todays champ. GO GHOST, YOUNGSTOWN, nothing left to say do your research.

Joe has lost all his power he once had (not that it was alot to start with) He relies on the simple fact that judges reward people who throw more punches, even if they don't connect. In the Mikel Kessler fight Kessler exposed alot of areas and landed some decent punches, only he didn't have the power to make him pay for it. Pav would. Hell, I think if Hopkins stopped tieing joe up every goddamn second and boxed with him he would of KO'd him by the 8th.

That's a hell of a big leap to take from one good shot that caught Calzaghe off balance and with his guard down. Fact is, Hopkins couldn't have gone all out for eight whole rounds, that's precisely why he was looking to tie him up. Unfortunately, Ol' Father Time catches up with us all, and has done so with Hopkins a few years ago now.

Landing stats have showed a whole lot more landing from Calzaghe in all his recent fights, so I think you're mistaking connecting with causing damage. I still think Calzaghe's chin would take him through the distance, if not to victory against Pavlik.

Maybe.. but the point I make is Joe makes a hell of a lot of mistakes, and Hopkins made him pay for one, but unfortunately didn't bother fighting for the other 11 rounds. Joe does connect alot yeah, but how many of them do damage? I think there was 1 good punch that honestly hurt hopkins.

I would love to see this fight . I think this will be the first time Calzaghe will fight a true primed champion. I think Joe gets knocked out.

Id love to see the fight aswell.

But how do you know pavlik is in his prime? You can only say when a fighter is in their prime by looking back after their career ends and seeing their greatest victory/performance.

Calzaghe fought kessler...errrrrr, was he not in his prime?

Hopkins was pretty damn good seeing as he bashed up winky and battered the crap out of tarver, at 42 the guy had adapted his game to make him a very tricky fighter, the fact he beat winky and totally destroyed tarver goes to prove how good he was...but he then got beaten by the 'weak, no power slapper' called calzaghe.

    Lacy not in his prime?

    Reid not in his prime?

Pavlik is 26, most athletes wont be in their prime till they are 30, calzaghe is past his prime, hes 36 years old!

So, let me ask the question...if calzaghe beats pavlik is he still a 'weak, slapping, no power brawler'?

This goes exactly back to the original prediction i made as my very first post on this board:

    Calzaghe ends up fight
    1. hopkins
    2. jones, or the winner of tarver v dawson
    3. pavlik

    For his final 3 fights.

My prediction was that calzaghe beats all 3 of them and has defeated the best fighters america has had to put against him.

He will retire after having beaten:

    1 eubank
    2 reid
    3 lacy
    4 kessler
    5 hopkins
    6 jones, tarver or dawson
    7 pavlik

Yet...hahahahaa even after defeating those great opponents PROVING he is the better fighter...people will still call him a 'weak, slapping, no power brawler'.

HAHAHAHA LETS WAIT N SEE IF MY PREDICTION COMES TRUE

Youve gotta admit though...it is quite funny that if calzaghe does beat them all and my prediction comes true, then its quite funny that people will still insult him.

I guess that makes eubank, reid, lacy, kessler, hopkins, pavlik, jones ALL A PILE OF TOTAL UTTER SH*T!!!

If calzaghe beats pavlik, then surely i can be justfied to call pavlik a SH*T FIGHTER?

Seeing as calzaghe beat kessler, kessler is a SH*T FIGHTER?

    Hopkins is a SH*T FIGHTER!

When jones gets beat, he is a SH*T FIGHTER!

Afterall, theyve either been beaten or will be beaten by the 'weak, slapping, no power, brawler'...therefore THEY ARE EVEN WORSE THAN THAT...=======PURE SH*T FIGHTERS!

Kessler is a little overrated. The best fighter Calzaghe ever beat was a 43 year old man and that win was controversial.

I guess a good gauge is how many times did Calzaghe have to hit Lacy to knock him down? 1000+?

Im a fan of kelly, hes very exciting to watch and a nice guy too.

Im also a fan of joe's, i think he has the most ring craft in boxing today, aswell as being virtually a complete fighter, can fight inside, outside and outsmart everyone.

This would be one fight id love to see.

For my prediction i'll go with calzaghe.

My reason is that pavlik is great at coming forward and will fall into joe's traps. Pavlik is not particularly good fighting on the inside and trading (as we saw against miranda and esspecially against taylor early on when he got caught and floored in their first fight, he was hurt bad at that point.)

I think joe will be able to control the flow of the fight and pavlik will not be able to overcome the ringcraft of joe.

    I predict a calzaghe win...im 60/40 on that outcome.

Once again, the 'weak, slapping, no power, brawler' will beat the best of america, in america.

Yet even after he does that...he will still be called a 'weak, slapping, no power, brawler' by everyone EVEN though he will have beaten eubank; lacy, kessler, hopkins, pavlik (maybe jones aswell if that fight happens before the pavlik fight). It really gets tiring seeing all the insults, but...people never learn
