Inkin is a step-up from the mediocre competition Froch has been fighting, it would've been interesting to see how Froch dealth with him. Though from the limited amount I've seen of him Inkin has not impressed me very much either.

You could also say the same for Kessler. Besides Joe, Kessler's resume is not exactly stellar either. There is a lot of retreads under Mikkel's name to make him look good against. I personally am not sold on him yet. He seems to have skills, but no intangibles.

Mundine, Calzaghe, Andrade, and Beyer (maybe) are better than anyone on Froch's resume. Kessler also looked very good in losing to Calzaghe, a fighter in the top 5 P4P on almost anyone's list. Froch could turn out to be a world-class fighter, all I'm saying is that he hasn't proved much yet.
