I'm not sold on Froch yet, he has impressed me but I have not seen him fully tested yet.

I think Kessler would win a UD at this stage of their careers!

Well it doesnt sound like a lot impresses you mate but these two are really pushing to get that number 1 spot in the weight class and really have a good chance of doing it. Kessler is good, im not taking that away from him, but this was carls year for stepping up and its gone a bit tits up so far. We will just have to hope he gets a decent next fight and hopefully we can see more of him so he can impress you more
I should also say that it's not that Froch hasn't shown impressive power and ability, because in many of his fights he has. It's just that I'm not sold on him as a fighter who will become a dominant force in the division. As a prospect, I would rate him quite highly, especially if he can work on his defense.
fair enough for thinking this, but all I can say is just keep watching and he will keep impressing, hes getting better every fight and I feel that 2008 is going to be a very good year for Carl.

Kessler defintely. Probably by late stoppage. Froch is way to easy to hit, a world level operator who can handle his power outpoints him easily. He's quite interesting to watch, and may prove people wrong one day, but I just don't see it personally.

I have to go with Mikkel with out even debating it....More of a complete fighter...It would be good early on but by midway point the skill difference would beging to show

But Froch cant half bang. Did you see the Maggee KO, that was lethal, if ANYBODY got caught with a right uppercut from him they will take a backwards step. Thats why I think the fight will open up because its not Kessler nature to step down. I think it would be very intresting...

Many average fighters have at least one highlight reel KO, doesn't make them world level, and so far he's landed that punch with devastating effect against 1 out of 22 fighters. It was also a funny angle punch that a southpaw was particularly open to, don't see him catching Kessler with anything like that, after all many (idiot) fans thought Hatton would land the Castillo body blow on Mayweather and it would be all over.

I do feel sorry for Froch though, he hasn't had the chance yet to prove people wrong, and he's getting older and his knees are creaking.

I'd go along with the majority and say it'd be a Kessler win. Need i be another person to mention Carls non existant defence and the fact an operator like Kessler would land some big bombs to stop him.

I'm not sayin Froch isn't world class, I think he is. His power is evident and his defence just lets him down. At 30 he's been boxing way too long to adapt a new style or develop a defence since he hasn't had one from the start.

Froch could well do the business against Kessler with his ko power, but it is just a punchers chance. He would fare better against the other top super middleweights but for me Kessler is the man to pick up where Calzaghe left off.

Its a hard one to pick because we have never seen Froch really tested yet.

    What do you think?
At this time Kessler for me. Froch is great coming forward and has neraly all the tools, but his defence is awful and he will get tagged at some point soon
I hope!!!! can not stand braggers who are not proven

As I keep watching, Fraud keeps getting older. He needs to make his move now

I agree with you totally. His chin is Ok but not world class and his offense is his defense. I think Kessler could knock him out. Kessler got to Calzaghe at times and hurt him. I think Kessler and definitely Miranda with his loopiong overhand rights could beat Froch.

Miranda on his day could own that division, even with JC in it.

Hardest hitter at 168 when he wants to be, though a suspect chin is still to be proven.

Froch-kessler sure would be an awesome fight - would pretty much come down to whether mikkel has it in him to walk through frochs best shots in order to win the fight.

At this present time id say yes

    kessler by 10/11th round stoppage

And he is trying to but Inkin pulled out didnt he? That was a good move IMO, taking out one of the top 5 ranked fighters. But although hes getting older doesnt mean he still cant improve, I feel that with age carl has been getting better so age isnt really too much. Look at BHOP, he is over 40 and pretty much at the top of his game. I still dont understand why you think hes a fraud though? its not like he has lost the fight or anything, so calling him a fraud is beyond me. If he was an American fighter I dont think you would call him Fraud and you would probably back him to be JC.

I wouldnt call Froch a fraud,he has a very big punch so you have to give him a chance against anyone but i feel if he faces Kessler he will fall short.I think he will become world champion but not if he faces Kessler.

Shame Inkin never had the balls to face him,and instead just messed Froch about.
