Oliver looked a bit rough from the beginning to me. First time (I think) to see him and from the beginning didn't look like the the type of fighter ESPN was making him out to be.
Was it just me or did the other guy have the most nonchalant reaction to hurting Oliver in the second? He had Oliver hurt pretty badly, and just kind of went about his business ho hum. Thought it was gonna cost him the fight to be honest at the time.
Overall though, quality of the fights was kind of shitty.
Anytime a fighter doesn't pay 150% of thier attention to the person they have in front of them something bad always happens. Let your people handle your marketing and future opponets, this guy is worried about champions when he hasn't even got off wed and fri night fights yet, not to mention the slim chances he'd have against the other heavy hitters in his division. Ponce could probably punch oliver's head against lopez's and knock both of them out at the same time. I'm almost convinced that oliver had a better chance with his old brawling type style vs. the boxing style he's tried to adapt to lately. One thing is for sure it takes more than speed to be sucessful in this sport (same with football..wink, wink, al davis lol !!).
