How gutted must the Magic be, that was a brutal loss. I thought they had it put away when Hedo drained those 3's.
I can't believe Van Gundy would elect for one shot against Tayshaun Prince one of the best defenders in the league. I thought they should have put on a high screen for Lewis and let him drive have Hedo to kick out to and Howard underneath for a possible second shot. That worked for them all game and then they put Hedo at the top and have him hold the ball until 4 seconds? One shot? They needed to lengthen that game not shorten it. That's a bad coaching decision from a very good coach, that's the wrong time for a heat check.
Celtics shutting down Lebron in these two games has been very shocking. They are blaming it on the double teams but that's ridiculous because Lebron is doubled everytime he plays, he beat a lot better defense in Detroit while being triple teamed. I'm very surprised and something hasn't been right these playoffs for him. He seems to be a lot more emotional now and he gets knocked off his gameplan. Make no mistake about it, Washington got into his head not by their stupid words and Deshaun Stevenson but by fouling him and playing him physical and that's what the C's are doing to.
Also, I've never seen Lebron do this much complaining. Lebron has a lot to prove these 2 games imo. He has to absolutely take this series over the way he did in Detroit last year and this series could dictate the way the Eastern conference goes for the next few years. The Cavs won the Eastern Conference last year and simply aren't being picked, they didn't get any real respect from the league. If they beat Detroit and Boston in consecutive years then they will get that respect and could become the type of force that Detroit has been for the past few years. If the Celtics get ousted in the second round against what most believe is an inferior Cavs team then they are in trouble and under a lot of pressure because New England can't take another fizzled post season. They need this.I think the Cavs are going to take these two at home and this is going to be a great series.
The Spurs are done the Hornets look better then I ever thought they were and Chris Paul might be the most exciting player in the NBA. That's a great team like I said earlier in this thread they remind me of the Nets from a few years ago but they run up and down the court more and play at a faster pace.
The Jazz have to pick up there feet if they want to win, they looked incredibly sluggish and slow of foot in LA. There is NO WAY that Lamar Odom should ever shut down Carlos Boozer and that's what happened. Boozer is a dominant big man and has some of the best footwork for anyone that plays in the paint. He was sluggish and foul happy in games 1 and 2 and that's what lost them those games. They need to repeat their excellent game 3 performance in game 4 and then find a way to get that spring in their step in LA or they have no shot. They are playing terrible on the road these playoffs.
