Frietas should fight in Germany.

Miranda kinda did get screwed over the first fight. I mean he was celebrating the win, then saw it snatched away from him while he had to wait almost 7 minutes for the fight to continue. He had to see the fishiness going on and it had to play on his mind and effect his game for the rest of the fight.
From what i am guessing, at first they seemed cool with the stoppage as they tried to contribute the broken jaw to the headbutt, that would have dq'd Miranda or at least get enough points taken away to secure it if it had to go to the scorecards. The ref said the Jaw injury was from a punch, so if they stopped it, it had to be called a TKO for Miranda. So they made him wait, and wait, got the ref to jack away more points and then made Abraham continue.
Very Shady stuff indeed. I think this is why Abraham is fighting Miranda again over here. He is a fighter himself and has a lot of pride. He knew what took place and wants to settle it properly this time around.

why the f**k are there so many Edison Miranda fans on here??
Yes the guy is an amazing puncher who on his day can knock anyone out..
But its quite clear that the guy has a decidedly dodgy chin!!

That is exactly what makes him exciting. He goes in there to war it up and let the chips fall. His fight with Kelly was a classic and he fought his heart out until he had absolutely nothing left.
He is cut from the same cloth as guys like Arturo Gatti. Always willing to give it his all. Abraham is doing the exact same thing. Both these guys deserve a shitload of credit as a win does not really help the winner. Abraham does not need this fight as he would be able to fight Pavlik regardless. Miranda does not need this fight because if he does win, he will still be a guy looking for a dance partner at 168.
This is a fight for pride more than anything. It is a risky venture for both without the offer of much reward.

See i said the very same thing about mayorga 2-3 years back.
When the guy is throwing he is unbelievably strong and has that predatory instinct to potentially become a great fighter.
But with that stance and that style your always opening yourself up to get hurt, mayorga is often like a sitting duck just waiting to get punched so he can throw back at you.
All im saying is that edison is always gonna struggle against natural counter punchers and will eventually come to a point in his career where to be the best he probably will need to change tactics!!

All of us know Miranda is not a great fighter in the sense of the word. He may never win a championship. He could go after a strap and get one, but he always wants the top dog. He is a throwback fighter though and he has a huge pride thing going on. He wants to fight everyone just because. He goes in there to try to take his opponents head off and if it turns out to be his own, he picks himself up, brushes himself off and does it all over again.
With all these fights that do not take place these days, seeing fighters b*tch and whine about money. See them taking easier fights just so they can position themselves to some meaningless strap someone calls a title, or watch them overprice themselves so they do not have to fight as they want to play the part of a diva. This all makes guys like Miranda sparkle like gold in my eyes. he is the type of guy that will fight absolutely anyone, but still has a hell of a hard time finding people to fight.

Bullshit he has a dodgy chin... He went toe to toe with Kelly Pavlik in a knock out drag out fight that left them both with facial damage even though he got TKO he wasnt sparked out by no means...
Where else has his chin put him in danger of losing a fight, Arthur hit him with plenty of Flush power punches the 1st fight and it didnt faze him......
This coming from a guy who says Hatton would buzz thru Coralles, siting the fact that Coralles lost to a guy that he never heard of (Joshua Clottey) though he neglected the fact that Clottey is a natural solid Welterweight with better than average powerand decent handspeed that could fight Junior Middleweight easily, and while Coralles is a natural 130lb fighter weighed in on fight night around the Welter limit Clottey hydrated up to 160So for a Box Rec commando I dont put to much onus on his ridiculous comments of late
Miranda is far more skilled technically than Mayorga and there stances are NOTHING ALIKE, and is far from a sitting duck waiting to get hit so he can throw back, Seriously dude if you dont know anything about Miranda than you really shouldnt comment, since you look quite foolish to the ones that know the deal

Cmon junior step up and defend you comments
1) You never heard of Joshua Clottey
2) You didnt know Coralles lost at Welterweight to a guy that is bigger than anyone Hatton ever fought
3) Said Miranda Had a dodgy chin even though he only got KO'd and been in seriously trouble against Pavlik, who has KO'D just about every one he has ever fought on his way of being the Universally Recognized Lineal Undisputed Middleweight Champion of the World.
So if calling Bullshit on your retarded ass is that time of the month, than you better mark this date on your calendar Captain Boxrec![]()

Well for someone who has a dodgy chin he sure took a beating from Pavlik before finally succumbing to "the ghost". Many guys wouldn't have been able to take 1/2 that pounding before going to sleep. At least the guy comes to fight, and is as game as they come; give the guy that much credit. I may be mistaken, but isn't Pavlik the only guy to even put him down.
I for one am looking forward to seeing him fight again.

And thats actually more or less the truth...only that Abraham wasn't forced, but wanted to fight on...he later stated in interviews that he would have never forgiven his trainer if he would have stopped it...But even as an Abraham fan I admit that a fight should be stopped if somebodys jaw gets broken...
A come on...I haven't seen that many Miranda fights, but he was wobbled pretty bad by Eastman in rnd 6...Abraham wobbled him a few times...Green put him on the canvas and Pavlik knocked him out...At best Miranda got an average chin...
