Yes the guy is an amazing puncher who on his day can knock anyone out..

But its quite clear that the guy has a decidedly dodgy chin!!

That is exactly what makes him exciting. He goes in there to war it up and let the chips fall. His fight with Kelly was a classic and he fought his heart out until he had absolutely nothing left.

He is cut from the same cloth as guys like Arturo Gatti. Always willing to give it his all. Abraham is doing the exact same thing. Both these guys deserve a shitload of credit as a win does not really help the winner. Abraham does not need this fight as he would be able to fight Pavlik regardless. Miranda does not need this fight because if he does win, he will still be a guy looking for a dance partner at 168.

This is a fight for pride more than anything.

See i said the very same thing about mayorga 2-3 years back.

When the guy is throwing he is unbelievably strong and has that predatory instinct to potentially become a great fighter.

But with that stance and that style your always opening yourself up to get hurt, mayorga is often like a sitting duck just waiting to get punched so he can throw back at you.

All im saying is that edison is always gonna struggle against natural counter punchers and will eventually come to a point in his career where to be the best he probably will need to change tactics!!

All of us know Miranda is not a great fighter in the sense of the word. He may never win a championship. He could go after a strap and get one, but he always wants the top dog. He is a throwback fighter though and he has a huge pride thing going on. He wants to fight everyone just because. He goes in there to try to take his opponents head off and if it turns out to be his own, he picks himself up, brushes himself off and does it all over again.

With all these fights that do not take place these days, seeing fighters b*tch and whine about money. See them taking easier fights just so they can position themselves to some meaningless strap someone calls a title, or watch them overprice themselves so they do not have to fight as they want to play the part of a diva. This all makes guys like Miranda sparkle like gold in my eyes. he is the type of guy that will fight absolutely anyone, but still has a hell of a hard time finding people to fight.
