Guzman may have gotten a fight with Campbell/Casa/Juan so I'm not overly disappointed.

But screw Arthur, he was cowardly.

Well, Guzman isn't actually regarded as a puncher at all at the weight. He's supremely skilled, slick and fast, but not a puncher.

He's cowardly, because ever since the fight has been made Arthur has been shifting opinions, changing dates and procrastinating in relation to the fight.

It not only seemed that he fell into the fight by accident by mentioning Guzmans name and the negotiations going so quickly, it also seemed he did everything he could during negotiations to make the fight a difficult deal and when Guzman still agreed to the terms Arthur still shook his way out of it.

He put a lot of energy into shaking this fight off.

To be honest Arthur hasn't really stepped up much since he got battered by Michael Gomez. I think that fight shook his confidence a lot.

Oh, you hit a sweet one there.

You can never write off Mitchell can you, you think he's taking a pasting and he comes back so strong.

I think if he boxes for 12 like he did in the first 4 and final 2 with Carl, he beats Arthur.

I said all along this fight wouldn't happen. Arthur's mob very rarely put their men in fights without being favourite let alone where they're gonna get a certain defeat.

Can't wait to see who Arthur will be matched with next

So you saying arthurs promotion team purposely made this fight under the pretence that it would be called off over visa issues

Isnt he now interim?? if so i suspect the belt will either be handed to him or he`ll be matched up with martinez.
Arthur had NO chance. His people don't do "no chance" fights unless it's the opponent that has no chance.

Guzman has a history of fights being cancelled and weight problems. It's not really surprising he decidied to give Arthur, traveling to Scotland, the WBO and superfeather the elbow after problems with the original date.

And it's hardly surprising if a few smart guys knew this was likely

bar pac-marquez II that was undoubtedly my 2nd favourite fight of 2008 even more respect to the two considering it was an undercard contest.

Everyone was just expecting johannson to eventually lay down but he just kept coming and almost stopped mitchell in the 6th which would not of been in the plan.

kev strikes me as the kind of guy that would be willing to walk through anything in order to get his shot off.

Dont think he is world champion material just yet.. perhaps a fight with alex arthur could be just what he needs!!

    Wasnt it like

That was a crazy fight. I was so impressed with Mitch early, I thought he boxed very tidy and he was hurting Johansson.
But then he seemed to slip or fatigue and Johansson capitalised, it appeared as if Mitchell was gone and I questioned whether he would be taken.
Then out he comes boxing superbly the next round.

Hugely underrated fight that stole the show that night.

Bit harsh to call Arthur a coward.

Arthur got saved from defeat.Frank Warren will put him in with someone that will make him look good then say Guzman avoided Arthur plus that way it keeps the money rolling in if he keeps winning.

Arthur is murdered at the weight anyway. He'll get given the belt, defend it against a Mexican roadsweeper or two then he'll have to vacate it and move up.

Damn I was looking forward to Guzman thrashing Arthur!

I thought it had been rescheduled for 14 June?

Oh well, hope Guzman can get back in there soon against a top 10 rated guy.

I really want to see him against JMM, best fight that can be made at 130 IMO
