Honestly, I've been here for over 3 years, been a member since 2006 (lurked a long time before joining), and I don't ever remember the forum being as bad as it is now. It's not just threads like this one, but fan-boyism is rampant and respect for others positions seems to be at an all-time low.

OK, I don't wanna say tooo much but as we speak let's just say posts are being reviewed and looked at to see where the problem came from.
The thing is once the 'banning' starts that's when things settle down.
I trust that the way Saddos carrried his site for years will continue to work and be able to maintain this site as the top site.![]()

I'm glad things are being looked at, but I feel that the main problems with the site aren't really bannable. For example, you can't really ban someone for being so biased that they can't have a reasonable discussion without getting offended by others opinions. You can't be banned for having a lack of respect for others positions unless you act like a complete asshole about it, you know?
Like after the Calzaghe - Hopkins fight, I dreaded coming here to talk about it because I knew what the environment was going to be like, which is a shame because I don't get to see many fights live (thanks to TSN) and as such I don't often get a chance to discuss them right after they occur (none of my friends watch or understand boxing, so this is really the only place to discuss it for me). Most of the older posters were fine, but the influx of new and newish members who basically just flung shit at everyone was really disheartening. I used to love coming here to see Wacko and other impartial posters like him discuss a fight immediately after it occurred, but that impatiality seems to have mostly evaporated lately. The Pac-JMM fight and its aftermath was similar as well.
For the record, I'm not trying to rip on the site or anything, and I think you mods do a fine job, I'm just a bit frusterated with the way things are these days. Losing a poster like Daxx only increases my frustration.

Have we got a "banned list" Mick?

One thing I really miss on this site is the proper RBR's.
I can honestly say that Wacko's RBR's was the main reason why I began lurking around on this forum (in 2006 as well). The thing that you could come into the forum to read those funny, yet extremely - all things considered - well articulated and well-argued threads made this site a genuine find. I still dont always see the big fights live, but I've always found joy in reading good RBR's afterwards anyway. Even before the fights the proper RBR thread gives a good forum for debating the upcoming fight, and in many cases actually helped getting me hyped up for the event as well.
I have to say I am not too fond of those new sticky pub-like treatments that even the biggest of fights seem to get. And while I miss Wacko - I know this sounds gay, but hey it's the truth - I'd love if someone else stepped up to the plate. Superheavyrhun does a great, great job with the British fights, but it feels kinda stupid that those fights actually get the best treatment here. And the thing is - a bunch of the people who still post here regularly have already showed in the past that they were fully capable of doing a great job in this category [1]!
So come on guys! It used to be a privelege to be allowed to do the RBR for a big fight! It should be like that again!
[1] I dont consider myself one of them, and would probably think more than twice before ever volunteering. Call me a hypocrite if you like.
