I do understand and agree that largely technique has a lot to do with power. I have noticed now though with my recent change in workouts, the focus on training hard in both cardio and weight lifting, that my power has increased A LOT. I'm thinking also it is because I am developing physically for my age, as part of a natural growth spurt, but it has been striking, the difference, and just in the last month. Whereas good connections when sparring not long ago were snapping the head back...now they are drawing blood, regularly.

I do wonder though, and maybe it is in my head. I feel as though I may be losing some of my speed. Anyone think this could be a trade off?
