Ice I know your a Floyd fan but your taking this too far, how can you say PBF-Oscar 2 is a good match ?? Floyd needs to fight Cotto/Margarito or Mosely, Williams etc. Oscar is a year older than last year and got busted up by a super-featherweight most recently, he's well past his prime now and it's time for him to hang them up. The fight is one of the most pointless rematches in years. It was only a SD last time as Oscar was actually forcing the fight and he was the fan's favourite. You said yourself you gave it to PBF clearly. I've hardly seen anyone score the bout to Oscar apart from that shitty judge. PBF is only doing this for money which supports my claim of Floyd being "Counterfit Money", P4P joke he is, he should fight a legitimate contender.
Taking what too far ?? i don't see any problem with a rematch the first fight was a good competitive fight was it not ?? i already said there's better fights for Mayweather but that doesn't make Mayweather vs ODLH 2 a bad match up. I don't think you was around here before ODLH vs Mayweather 1. Well let me just tell you everyone was excited about this fight.

Everyone before the fight see this as a big risk because Mayweather was moving up to weight class he nevr fought at before and plus ODLH heavily out weighed him, it was pretty much 50-50 with opinions split. And actually quite a lot of people had this very close fight not that i see it that way but i still see it as a good competitive fight. Now its suddenly a "Joke fight" when all these people before were saying that wouldn't mind a rematch, and all these people were saying Mayweather needed to fight ODLH.

I never said he isn't doing it for money but regardless its still a good fight, as i have said before there are better fights out there but i still see this as a good fight. And to call Mayweather P4P joke is ridiculous, just look at the mans record and what he has achieved its second to none right at this moment, and he is probably one of the most skilled fighters of all time.
Yea I know beforehand the fuss everybody made, I know as I went the bookies and placed a bet on ODLH, but watching the fight it wasn't that close IMO and it is pointless for PBF to fight Oscar again when there's better and bigger fights out there, for me it is just a waste of a fight for Floyd and pretty pointless because if Oscar can't beat him in 2007 whats the difference in 2008?

Im not saying i agree with the fight personally i would rather Mayweather fight winner of Williams vs Quintana 2 or Cotto vs Margarito. But like i said i still don't see it as a joke fight nor do i see it as a bad fight, but yes i would rather see Mayweather take the fights i just mentioned.

Thats your opinion and I respect that. I just want Mayweather to fight Cotto so much, it would be massive, two undefeated welterweight world champions going at it.

How would you feel if Mayweather fought winner of Quintana vs Williams 2 instead of Margarito vs Cotto ??

I'd be happy if he fought Paul Williams as PW would give him problems with his height, reach and how many punches he throws but PW might move up to light-middle, I don't know how much he is draining himself at 147. PW v Forrest would be a great match. If he fought Quinatana I wouldn't be that happy, Cotto blasted him out in 5. The winner of Margarito/Cotto would be much more of a threat and PBF would get a lot of recognition if he beat the winner of that matchup (He would get my probs anyway).

    c`mon lefty

All in all it was a pretty decent fight. It was never gonna be the common mans thriller because neithers style was suited to make it an out an out classic.

But to suggest it wasnt close

I had floyd by 3rds that night giving him the last 4rounds and got murdered by my mates who insinuated i was crazy to have it that wide.

The scoring that night was pretty consistent with a very close contest that had ODLH had that extra 10-15% of stamina late on probably would of done enough to of won it unanimously on the judges scorecards.

ODLH is americas goldenboy, he is also a multi million pound promoter who doesnt need to fight this fight. Naturally your hardcore boxing fan doesnt want this because they dont see the point in seeing the same old scenario played out again.

But from a business perspective this makes perfect sense and dare i suggest the 2 may just make fractionally more money than they did in the 1st fight!!

Two things. First, I have a feeling that all the people who swear they will not watch this rematch...WILL. The hype (24/7, etc.) and dislike for one fighter or the other will just make it really difficult for people to just dismiss this fight. Second, was the first fight a razor thin decision? No. Was it a good, competitive fight? Absolutely. For about 3 or so rounds, i have never seen anyone box Floyd as well as Oscar. He was landing his jab at will and reading/blocking Floyd's punches. But of course, he made a strategic mistake of fighting most of the fight in an all out pressure style. This didn't help his already questionable conditioning late in fights and Floyd eventually regained his comfort zone and showed his superior conditioning/speed. Does this mean that if Oscar fights a technically sound and relaxed fight in the rematch he will win? No. But he has shown that he is still a very skilled fighter. Add that to all the subplots: the Mayweather's fueds, Floyd having been focusing more on other things (wrestling, etc.) and the fact that these two know how to promote a fight....and i think it will be a solid, competitive, and fun fight/EVENT. We are all going to watch it, so lets not try and deny it
