Sometimes I think he tries to be to defensive when he should be trying to put some distance on the scorecards. Might be his chin but I haven't seen him really take alot of shots to find out.

i know everyone wil jump all over me but i thought castillo won the first fight and de la hoya won the fight aswell. i think if floyd jumped in with margarito or cotto there relentless pressure would be too much for him - especially margarito who can seemingly walk through knock out shot after knock out shot.
First off theres couple of things wrong with this statement, first i really don't know how you had ODLH winning against Mayweather, i mean its obvious Mayweather dominated later rounds from technical point of view, so how could you have ODLH winning after 9 rounds by such a wide margin ?? is beyond me, Mayweather landed sharper cleaner blows where as most of ODLH's punches hit arms, gloves, shoulders. Secondly Cotto isn't relentless pressure fighter he is a patient aggressive fighter just like Castillo was patient against Mayweather picking his shots. Thirdly i don't care how good of a chin Margarito has you can't just expect to walk through Mayweather's shots, and even if he does Mayweather will out manoeuvre Margarito.

awwwwww - here we go again - i thought odlh won cause he forced the fight , was more agressive round to round and blah, blah, blah its been said a million times before. Also where did i say he won by a wide margin?? I had him up 1 round, as for margarito are you telling me he can take k.o blows from people like cintron etc and not take them from mayweather who (apart from hatton) ain't knocked out anyone in ages.
Aww here we go again ?? well you have to expect someone to reply don't you ?? just because ODLH was more aggressive doesn't mean anything, like i have said many times it has to be effective aggression. Did ODLH land effective punches on Mayweather ?? no, did he get Mayweather off his game plan ?? no. I never said Margarito can't take Mayweather punches but he can't just expect to try and walk through Mayweather's shots, otherwise he will get boxing lesson Corrales tried the same thing who was a big Lightweight, and look what happened to him.

yeah but corrales didn't have the proven granite chin of maragrito. anyway who knows what the outcome would be cause the match prob ain't gonna happen anytime soon.
The Castillo fight was closer than the ODLH one. I don't think Castillo had Mayweather figured out. I honestly believe Mayweather's torn rotator cuff played a massive part in his style that night and Castillo, to his credit, made the perfect adjustments.
See the rematch..a fully fit PBF handled him just how he was supposed to.
Thats the same shit they said before the Hatton DLH fight. Hell some fools even said it before the Gatti fight. It's not that simple to put pressure on PBF. Pressure may be the way to beat him but it's clearly not a simple task. These guys applied pressure and still loss.
Oh and Margarito may be able to walk throught PBF shots but can Margarito hit PBF? You don't win fights just by walking through shots.

Apart from trapping him on the ropes the only other time iv'e seen mayweather hit is on the end of a good Jab. When oscar used it properly he had Mayweather hanging on the end of it and even in the first round Ricky caught him with a few jabs before he started jumping into him.
It's the only real punch with the speed to get past his shoulder roll.
He's like a chinese puzzle box. Everyone think's they know how to do it but you have a go and it's all wrong. Someones gonna need to just rough him up get him out of his boxing and get him fighting....ala Cotto.
otherwise who the hell could outbox him?..It wont happen will it.
"It wasn't the night of the jab"

PBF likes to fight controlled and well-paced fights, like all those slick, pure-boxer type fighters. Bring the fight out of his control and I think he'll be in for a trouble. Little Hatton showed some glimpses of that in the early rounds by derailing PBF off his tracks, so to speak, with his relentless, and chaotic, attacks.
Once in awhile, get outside in fresh air, take a deep breath & with a deep sigh, let out all the things that's bottled up inside you & be free, & you'll get a glimpse of nirvana.
Hatton was doing a damn good job in his fight with PBF. I remember think PBF really needs to pick it up
