I don't understand why you think they are bad at blues? I mean they have always been a great timed band, the guitars are always good while not the greatest at blues, and while vocals can get old if you listen at length: they are still a very solid blues band.
I concede that they are white people. Maybe that is why you don't think they are good at blues.

I like what Ive heard of Goverment Mule
Zep for me is like the Doors,I just dont get it,they both have a rabid fanbase, and I think there are better bands at what they do.
Oddly enough the Uber-Band is probably The Beatles, because I dont care,there is one Beatles song even your grandparents like. Solo they were all at best tolerable, but you put the 4 of them together, they can do proto metal(Helter Skelter) hippy dippy(SgT Peppers) and even swing(Your Mother SHould Know) and folk(Let It Be)
