yeah i saw that tap that you're referring too, and i thought it was a tap out also, but the commentators right away said that kimbo was showing that he was okay.. and he was fine.. so i just assumed that was some sort of mma type of thing that i didn't know about.. i didn't think it was controversial though, as kimbo was actually fine..

We watched this at our house party tonight. That dudes ear was the shit, made the show!!! LOL And every time he got hit, he looked like the Jim Carey 1/2 of the Dumb and Dumber dudes, but just a little sleepy and dopier. Kimbo Slice wasn't much. I think he gets fugged and hurt or put to sleep if he fights someone more skilled.

That stoppage was a drag. Buddy wanted to fight and was capable I believe, just said the wrong thing I guess to the doc? Fooking stoopid fans, can't believe they were booing that fight, it was the best one...I'd like to watch the rematch and I am no MMA fan.

James Thomsons ear was perfectly normal a year or two back when I saw him fight. He must have done some serious grappling for his ear to turn to much like that ! lol

I finally got to see the fight! it was on channel 7 but they showed it here in the west coast 3 hours late.

Kimbo lost that fight! they had that fight rig!

They should of ended it in the second round. Kimbo was defensless for atleast 1 and a half minute. James was ground and pounding him, the ref is a bitch he wanted kimbo to win. After the round he was like, ooh the punches weren't really hitting him wtf kinda of ref is that?

James won that plus the stoppage was premature. He got stunned like that numerous times and he didnt even go down. In the second round he was stun the same way but won the round by beating kimbo in the ground.

I think Kimbo lacks heart and that would be his downfall. once he gets taken deep he is done. James is not even that good of a fighter and look at kimba during the interview he look like a defeated fighter.

kimbo was lucky for sure they stage that for him to win. Nobody gave james no chance. I don't think kimbo will be a champion.

Maybe he didn't tap and just made a gesture that looked like a tap but either way I find it weird they didn't show a replay of it since they replayed alot of the fight. The commentators quickly said that Kimbo was gesturinng that he was fine but I wouldn't pay much attention to them since the're riding on Kimbos "success".

Yea know, I'm def. not an MMA fan, but of course I'm going to watch it if there is nothing else on. That aside, I think they did a very good job of marketing it. Free and live on a major t.v. network. Those early fights were good to watch, but it was disappointing with the stoppage for the eye poke deal. That fight was going better IMO then any other. Was a very good match up.

I'm not familiar with the rules for stop, but it woul;d hgave been a travesty is the dude who poked the eye had won, because it was after 3 rounds. I mean, wouldn't that sort of rule actually encourage eye gouging?
