James Thomsons ear was perfectly normal a year or two back when I saw him fight. He must have done some serious grappling for his ear to turn to much like that ! lol
Back to debt collecting for that lad.

I finally got to see the fight! it was on channel 7 but they showed it here in the west coast 3 hours late.

Kimbo lost that fight! they had that fight rig!

They should of ended it in the second round. Kimbo was defensless for atleast 1 and a half minute. James was ground and pounding him, the ref is a bitch he wanted kimbo to win. After the round he was like, ooh the punches weren't really hitting him wtf kinda of ref is that?

James won that plus the stoppage was premature. He got stunned like that numerous times and he didnt even go down. In the second round he was stun the same way but won the round by beating kimbo in the ground.

I think Kimbo lacks heart and that would be his downfall. once he gets taken deep he is done. James is not even that good of a fighter and look at kimba during the interview he look like a defeated fighter.

kimbo was lucky for sure they stage that for him to win. Nobody gave james no chance. I don't think kimbo will be a champion.

Hmm it was pretty quick but it did look like a tap. Even Thompson looked at the referee and said something about. It's hard to tell. Maybe he didn't tap and just made a gesture that looked like a tap but either way I find it weird they didn't show a replay of it since they replayed alot of the fight. The commentators quickly said that Kimbo was gesturinng that he was fine but I wouldn't pay much attention to them since the're riding on Kimbos "success".

Kimbo is a joke. A devasting puncher my ass. Thompson has a glass chin and he couldnt drop him. No stamina no heart. Let's see how long the gravy train continues. But yes he was tagging him hard at the end but still a little premature stoppage.

the only reason kimbo wasnt defending was cuz thompson had neutralized his arms, it wasnt like kimbo was too hurt to defend, also thompson wasnt really doing much damage, thats what the ref meant

kimbo had a tough fight but he looked off from the beginning, he was moving and punching real slow, bas rutten said online after the fight that kimbo was doing things that he trained not to do everyday, he said maybe kimbo was nervous

Kimbo did just fine..... He went from a backyard bare knuckle fighter last year to fighting pro, even though Thompson isint upper rung, he still is more experienced and skilled. Kimbo used textbook escapes on the ground and his BJJ looked pretty dam good for a novice, he got hung up on the fence a little. Like Sal mentioned his hands were tied up so he couldnt defend but still was tucking his head, Thompson wasnt landing shit but less then pitty patty punches.. Yea know, I'm def. not an MMA fan, but of course I'm going to watch it if there is nothing else on. That aside, I think they did a very good job of marketing it. Free and live on a major t.v. network. Those early fights were good to watch, but it was disappointing with the stoppage for the eye poke deal. That fight was going better IMO then any other. Was a very good match up.

I'm not familiar with the rules for stop, but it woul;d hgave been a travesty is the dude who poked the eye had won, because it was after 3 rounds. I mean, wouldn't that sort of rule actually encourage eye gouging?

first off.. yes he was stunned at the end, and he was also stunned earlier in the fight.. but in the second round Kimbo nailed him with a solid 5-6 FLUSH shots, and the only reason the fight wasn't over was cause he took kimbo to the ground.. i thought they were going to end it then.. but at the end of the fight, when kimbo was landing those shots, james was out of range to take him down, leaving the ref no choice but to either stop the fight or let kimbo keep tagging him.. that is a fucking EASY call..

and how can you say kimbo couldn't get him off of him.. he did that at least once when james was almost in a full mount..

now, i'm not a huge kimbo fan or anything.. but he definitely won that fight.. i have no question about that.. i do think he has stamina issues and will lose sooner than later.. but to hate on him for his fight last night is absurd..
