my friends who fight mma have it and say it doesn't hurt them.. but when they get it drained or whatever, it hurts cause you use a needle and what not..

it can definitely be fixed with surgery, but i'm sure there are alternate methods to fix it..

and no, boxers having cauliflower ear is pretty rare, unless they wrestle on the side or take a lot of ear shots.. cauliflower ear is cause by trauma and shock to the ear that separates the cartilage, causing swelling and scar tissue.. as far as i know at least.. so considering there is no grappling in boxing, then boxers are much less susceptible to it..
