Guys, guys .... it takes more than a few muscles to become a fighter.

Firstly, you need to learn your craft as a fighter - that's why guys like Foreman etc can beat the shit out of young muscley guys - the olden greats didn;t have ripped physiques like today's guys but their stamina was much better as they were not sweating every ounce off to make a weight.

Look at guys like Frank Bruno, huge muscles and all but he was mechanical and was not a graceful fighter at heart. Someone like Jack Dempsey four stone lighter and 4 inches shorter, would have eaten him up.

Some fake wrestler or actor would not be able to go with a fighter in the top 100 in any weight (apart from the heavys and the flyweights as there is not as much depth there) ...... I'm with Trainer Monkey on this.

Innfact, I'd quite like to see someone like Jean Claude Vann Damme get totally battered, humiliated and knocked senseless by someone like Micheal Nunn. When a professional fighter - at any weight - hits a 'civilian', said civvy gets wrecked.

In preparation Rolph Lundgregn or however you spell it, hit Stallone in the stomach, broke his ribs, downed him and hispitalised him, by accident.

Stallone is a soft rich man.

Well its reported he broke his ribs during Rambo first blood, Rocky 2 with Carl Weathers, Rocky 3 with Mr.t and Rocky 4 with Lundgren.

Funnily enough Morrisson was the only one not to break his ribs

Lundgren said in an interview he broke Stallones ribs by accident.

As for sparring wioth Duran, anyone could spar him, doesn't mean they'd succeed.

My eldest brother was a huge Stallone fan back in the day and used to keep scrapbooks, Rocky 4 one is pretty impressive. Stallone said himself that Lundgren beat the piss out of him.
When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough

Lundgren was diesel back in the day. Hell, he's still ripped and he's gotta be in his 50s. I wouldn't mess with him. Unless he'd spot me and let me smash him over the head with a bat first.

Ugh, let me take that back. Dolph looks really old now. He could still beat me up, but only because I respect my elders.

Yeah, I remember him on Arsenio saying he got a full scholarship to MIT. Jeesh, why not go for the trifecta and tell me he's got a huge schlonger and he's cramming my wife?

I've always wondered which exact punch it was shot in the movie...

He was in ICU for 9 days from what I've heard. Lungred was the hardest punching of all the actors he filmed with.

I'd say that although he was the hardest punching actor he was nothing in comparison to Morrisson and even Tarver.

Yeah, but by the time they filmed the last one no way was Stallone letting someone hit him for real. That house of cards would come tumbling right down. If Tarver hit him for real Stallone would need a colostomy bag. And the Morrison fight, if I'm not mistaken, was brief.

Hell no, Stallone wasn't taking any punishment from a real boxer!

During the filming of "Rocky Balboa" he collapsed on set whilst doing the excercises, he may have been built but he wasn't in any way fit.

I heard he was asked to spar SRL before the Contender II as a gimmick and he chose not to.
