I don't know why Diaz is not taking a return fight against a lesser guy. I mean for a while there were talks about Katsidis, now Casamayor. I think he could still beat either guy but they definitely seem confident in him, two losses in a row wouldn't be good for him.

I honestly see Diaz beating Casamayor at this stage, perhaps even quite handily. My feeling is that either option is a sort of cash in fight, since Casa is at the end of the road. I expected him to beat Katsidis easily, quite honestly... THe fact that he had so much trouble with him pretty much confirmed that he is finished(If the Santa Cruz fight hadn't already). The question for me remains whether Golden Boy will actually offer Casa more money to fight Juan Diaz than Campbell... I guess I could see it happening, but then there will be a lot of pressure among boxing fans to see Diaz fight Campbell again. Perhaps by that time Nate will have gotten to old though. I just think it's crap that Juan Diaz may become the ring champion without rematching Nate Campbell.

Although it would set up an interesting situation for the rematch between Diaz and Campbell. If Diaz beats Casa it would only serve to build up a big rematch with Campbell for all the marbles.

Unfortunately for Casa, Juan Diaz has just the kind of style to steal a win from him. I can't see Diaz landing much on Casa at all, but he'll let his hands go. Casa will hit him with cleaner and more accurate shots, but the judges will probably give it to Diaz. Casa doesn't have the power or workrate Campbell had to negate Diaz's workrate. I could see this being a very contraversial decision in favor of Diaz.

Title: Casamayor's Choice Between Money And Legacy

Uuuummm... News Flash Tim, Casamayor is one of the greatest Cuban boxers ever. His name is up there with Napoles, Gavilan, Rodriguez and the rest. What fucken legacy, his legacy is already established.

IF he fights Nate and wins that's just a plus in his career.
You can't hack at Casa now that he's going after the money...

I didn't think Casamayor-Campbell 1 was very controversial really. I remember the HBO commentators thinking it was closer than I did.

And the judging was a joke. It should have a been a UD for Campbell. It took a while for the HBO commentators to realize what was going on and stop hyping their boy.

Sounds like a Casa-Campbell rematch first is more appropriate.
