I am not sure what David Tua is even doing in the sport anymore. I used to be a big fan but he has been so inconsistent with his schedule that every time I would get hyped up about him coming back he would vanish as quickly.

(I really do not count stay busy fights as being in the mix.)

Tua had the perfect opportunity to make a strong comeback right after Vitaly left the sport. The heavyweight division was wide open and Tua was part of the elite before the Sultan's, Chagaev's and Valuev's started to appear.

yes i feel what you are saying being a huge tua fan myself, but much of his problems were due to his poor shady management and financial as well as legal burdens that hindered his over all game plan. he has been getting his weight down atleast and taking his road work and training rather seriously for his last couple of fights.

he will always go down as one of those fighters who could of done so much damage in his prime, just as ike and such would

I do remember the managerlial problems and stuff a while back. It really did put a dent in his career.

You are right about how he will be remembered. Tua will always be on the most dangerous non champions list.

If he was faster he would have won the title earlier. His speed is what cost him fights. The Ibeabuchi bout is a heavyweight classic between hard hitters.
