My mom for a bit had a pretty wealthy boyfriend
So the cars I remember went from pretty high end,and then went down the ladder as our financial situations changed
That,and my mom couldnt drive worth a crap

We start with the 68 Jag XKE,which met a bridge abuttment
Then she borrowed her boyfriends Austin Healy,his pride and joy,and quickly destroyed the transmission
Then we had the GT,for once,this wasnt her fault,the electrical system went
The Pinto,I barely remember,it lasted like a week before the motor blew up
In there she destroyed a car of my Aunts in a car wreck
Then there was the 72 Fury,which was my first car,right up until we found out she'd put the wrong oil in,and cracked the block
76 Dart,this ones death wasnt her fault either,she got T-boned
With which we bought the 80 Aspen,this one is my fault,country road,fog,70 miles per hour,that was 10 days in hospital,and a couple of surgeries

My first car was a 1985 ford thunderbird... I have to say, as much of a piece of shit that it was, I loved it... I had it for a year before it caught on fire on the highway... It had a great interior, digital dash readouts and cruise control and power windows...

That was back in '97 though... The car was older then dirt at that point and had over 200,000 miles on her...

Which is why I still think you can feed most really wealthy people in to a meat grinder and improve the entire species. I've met them

Well, I'm a firm believer in the fact that we are all products of our environments...

If a person does not have to fight through any type of adversity then they don't gain much character... How many times have you met a rich person with virtually no personality.

The more adversity in a persons life the richer and more diverse the personality...

I have a portion of my family that is very wealthy... Something that has to do with the Verville (my last name) Sperry that was used as a US Airforce training plane a long time ago... 40s I think... and also the R-1


Anyhow, they all have this huge sense of entitlement... Like everyone owes them something.

More or less how I grew up. But Im happy for the life experience,if only so I can say,"Most of them arent worth the paper they used for the birth certificate"

Don't be bitter TM. Loads of money allows you to get by without much personality if you want to. I think that is pretty cool.....
