The guy is a douche bag because he thinks a guy in the top 5 p4p could beat the dude you have a massive hard-on for? I think Calzaghe - Pavlik would be a pick em fight, I'd lean towards Pavlik, but you could make a good case for Calzaghe as well. You can criticize JC's record, I've done it myself, but here's a news flash for you: Calzaghe is better than Taylor, Miranda, and Lockett - and Pavlik has plently of bums on his padded record as well.
So you would agreer that Pavlik is a Lacy type fighter who would be blown to bits by Caqlfage's great world class power slapping ability. OTFLMAO. He is a Northeast Ohioan like my self and has blown everyone up in front of him. Unlike cutting it close with Hopkins and Ried.
I said nothing about Pavlik being a Lacy-type fighter. In fact, I said I thought Pavlik would win if he fought JC, but calling someone a douche because he disagrees with you and thinks you favorite fighter could actually lose a fight is just stupid. Pavlik has not blown everyone up in front of him, he'd KO'd Taylor, which was impressive, but then he went life and death with him in the rematch. The fight was up for grabs in the 11th and 12th rounds, and in the eyes of most people Pavlik edged it. It was a close fight just like JC-Hopkins, regardless of the styles of the fighters. He was almost stopped in the first fight with Taylor as well, the reason he was almost stopped is immaterial. I really like Pavlik, but I liked him a lot before his fanboys started calling he name from the mountain tops, calling him Godzilla, and comparing him to Hagler and Marciano.
I think America was in desperate need of a fighter like Pavlik though, someone that is young, in exciting fights and humble enough to back.
I'm not ready to bet the mortgage on him, but it's about time there was an American that could generate fanboys to the level of PAC and Hatton.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
