Here's a few others:
Hurt - Johnny Cash (NIN)
Mr. Bojangles - Nitty Gritty Dirt Band (Bob Dylan)
Foo Fighters - Baker Street (Gerry Raffarty)
I don't actually know that many covers. So it is good to get a list to judge from. I mean, it was just like 2 years ago I was listening to stuff like Green Day thinking it was awesome, and now I hate them...so...
Would Mr. Breeze by Lynard Shynard be considered a cover, seeing as J.J. Cale wrote it, or? And how about SRV stuff? I mean, most of his songs someone else did first.
LMAO. I never pay attention to highlights as I'm too stupid to figure out how to highlight anything.............

Some more:
Hallelujah - Rufus Wainwright and Jeff Buckley, both better than the original IMO (Leonard Cohen)
Chris Cornell - Billie Jean (yes, Billie Jean. Originally by Michael Jackson)
Landslide - Smashing Pumpkins (Fleetwood Mac)
I Don't Wanna Grow Up - The Ramones (Tom Waits)
Helter Skelter - U2 (Beatles) - most will probably disagree, but I love U2's version.
Maggie's Farm - Rage Against the Machine (Dylan)
More to come...

While the Emmylou harris./Parsons Love Hurts is very good. Nazareth version is quite good as well. I wouldn;t say its better, but I would say Emmylou Harris is probably my favourite female singers and one of the best rock out concerts you can go to.

I'm a big SRV fan. But I can't say if his "Voodoo Child" is better than Hendrix.
