Absolutlely it could have, Powell's play at being hurt was stupid enough that it justified being waved off though IMO. This isn't wrestling if you can beat a guy, just beat him no reason to go into an acting session in the ring.

I think powell was genuinely stunned with Latimore in process of tuning him up......on ropes.Powell is kicking his own arse at home right now.Latimore has some weak spots...stands tall, wide in spots,haircut.. but He is Southpaw awkward & shows decent sharp power...rematch anyone?

Something I really liked about Latimore was that when Powell caught him, he collected himself and fired back even when he looked hurt.

IS Buddy McGirt overrated? I certainly would not let him touch any of my fighters. The reson why is he is never there for the whole camp. A fighter needs to devolp a bond with his or her trainer. one to two weeks and then the fighht does not work in my book.

He's had shitty run lately, but it may be because everyone and their uncle is trained by Buddy atm. It seems he is in a different corner every weekend in big fights. He may be spreading himself too thin. My one complaint about Buddy is when he yells out stuff from the corner...what you don't think the other guy can't hear you too?.....duh
