So who's going to be in next year's finals?

In all seriousness (I don't know why I say that, in all seriousness I think this series is over) What a game, that was great.

I underrated Paul Pierce before this year and these playoffs. I thought he was a star but one that was in that second tier with guys like McGrady, Howard, Deron Williams, Boozer, Gilbert Arenas and not in that first tier of stars with Kobe, Duncan, Lebron, Chris Paul but he is a star, he has played as well as Kobe has. He was the key.

The shot of the game was Posey's three with a little over a minute left, before he made that I was thinking the Lakers might pull it out.

haha, it took you THIS year to realize how good Pierce is.. his PPG this year is probably the LOWEST since his first year in the NBA 8-9 years ago.. Even though Pierce played his whole career in the East, he's still always been a top tier NBA player.. ALWAYS..

anyway.. The way that the Celtic's meshed this year, with 3 All-stars coming together the way they did is simply amazing.. They all got along with each other when they first started playing, and really, i was just waiting for one of them to start pointing fingers at the other as soon as they started to lose a few games, but that did not happen.. It's just really crazy how well they each accept their roles and go out and do their own thing.

If you ask me, Ray Allen has been the key to this series.. not taking anything away from Garnett or Pierce.. Although i do say this simply because Allen had not really been showing up for the previous series, but he has been solid in every game so far against LA, even when Pierce/Garnett were not rolling as usual..

well to be fair I really only watch the playoffs which means for a while I forgot that there actually was a team in Boston

No, I knew he was a top player obviously, what I'm saying is I still probably underrated him, I put him in the class of guys like McGrady and I think he's probably a bit above that.

understandable Oumafan.. i've always been a fan of the Celtics since i was into basketball (the home team), but it's been painful to watch any of their games previous to this year (and 2002).. So they were definitely off of the radar for the last few years.. This was the first year in a few years that i actively followed them all year, as opposed to checking the sports scores in the morning to see if they won or not, and occasionally watching a full game.

Nice snatch from Kobe Bryant near the end i loved that dunk, Lakers are still very leaky defense wise and they will need to step it up big time in that department. Celtics once again coming back from a big points loss to make it a close game, but this time Lakers held on and i actually think Kobe's dunk near the end was a big key to the Lakers winning. Pierce played a great game and should be happy with himself, i was disappointed with Kobe after the 1st quarter, he seemed to have a great 1st quarter then go right down hill but he redeemed himself at the end so its all good, COME ON LAKERS.

I didn't see anything last night that convinced me the Lakers will win two straight in Boston. Not having Perkins hurts but I don't think its enough to make the difference.

The lakers have showed glimmers of greatness but glimmers don't win championships. It will end in my neck of the woods... A mile away at the garden!
