Calzaghe dismisses Pavlik fight!

Honestly...being a fan of both fighters...I just don't want to see this one come off.

I'm actually a bit excited about Joe facing Roy.

Pavlik's a tuff nut to crack & all that...but Joe's got too much experience, speed, & volume for Kelly, IWHO.

That would be a big mistake I think. JC is getting older and Pavlik is coming into his prime, the longer Calzaghe waits, the more his skills will erode while Pavlik improves and gains valuable experience. If Calzaghe is going to fight Pavlik, I think he's best served by doing it asap.

But, according to Joe, apparently Pavlik doesn't want to face Calzaghe. Though I wouldn't be surprised if Joe was just trying to drum up hype and demand for a fight with Pavlik.

yeah this could be the case, he knows he's only a couple of fights left, so he'll want to be making as much money as possible, be great to have

I think it's a possibility. But that will just give Calzaghe fans more reason to say "he was shot by then" after Pavlik erases that undefeated record.

Beating Roy Jones won't do much for Joe's "legacy." Yes it is a huge name, but not right now. The best part of all this is Roy can beat Joe. Imagine if he did? I would actually love that more than Pavlik beating him because it puts a huge dent in his career. I guess I'm being bitter he delayed this Pavlik fight...Sorry, Calzaghe fans, I didn't mean harm by this. I'm just ranting now..

I think Jones has a really good chance of taking this fight. Awkward fighters don't bother him so much as strong fighters do. I mean, one awkward fighter against another is somewhat of a toss-up, don't you think? When Joe starts getting slappy with his punches in close with his guard wide open Roy turns into a surgeon with some precise shots in between a tight guard. I see Roy being hesitant per usual in the first few rounds and once he realizes Joe isn't hurting him he starts opening up, taxing his body until it looks like a fight that COULD go either way. Joe SHOULD win, but I don't know that he would.

Calzaghe is just a waste of space in 45 fights all he has done is fight old past there best champs or unknowns. He fights and beats Lacy and Kessler which yes are good achievements Kessler more than Lacy by a mile but now he wants to fight another old man.He should fight Pavlik not Jones he kept going on about career defining fights he has only had 2 he gets offered a fight bigger than any he has had he doesn't want it why people rate him so highly i will never know.

Jones didnt need Joe back then. Now the boots on th eother foot and Jones NEEDS joe. Everyone does. He is teh man everyone wants to face including Pav. But Joe is in teh great position of being bale to choose which big name he fights cuz he is on top on the p4p pile now and is undefeated which is summat not even Oscar De La Hoya has .

Froch needs to start by beating a B-level opponent before he jumps up to an A-level guy. Inkin would have a been a start, but let him a beat a Bute or an Andrade. A perfect record against club fighters mean nothing and if Froch was really interested in fighting Calzaghe, he should have stepped up his competition a few fights ago.

Wow welcome back Wacko i have not been around for the last week been really busy with the business now the flies are here but we missed ya
