I agree. But to jump 2 divisions against a puncher like Vasquez is crazy! He should look guys like Darchinyan or Munoz IMO

I don't think Munoz is a real money fight though. Maybe Vic although it would have been bigger a year or two ago.

I just see the method behind the madness so to speak. At 115 there's really only Montiel and that's not as big a name as Vazquez, there's no reason to fight anybody at 118 if you're on the way out, I mean why get your ass kicked by Gerry Penalosa for one fifth of the money that you would get for getting your ass kicked by Izzy? I just hope he doesn't get hurt, I suspect though the ref would be watching him closely whether he admits it or not.

The only way Arce can win is if he is allowed to bring his horse into the ring with him. He'll get beaten brutally. Hope the $$$ is worth the damage he takes.

I like Jorge Arce he is an exciting fighter and he is a good fighter. In a war he is the guy you want to watch because if you choose to trade with him there is a 75% chance he is going to win. Arce has not been KO'd since the great Michael Carbajal almost 10 years ago. (Note I revere his skill as a brawler not as a technical fighter)

This is a fight he is going to get not knocked out in but beaten severly, Izzy is in a whole different caliber right now he may be the best toe to toe guy in the game. I put him in the top 3 anyhow.

I hope the paycheck is worth it.

I agree Darchinyan would have been bigger awhile back but its still a very winnable & entertaining fight. A Munoz fight would be also very exciting & Arce would have a better chance there than against Vasquez. Theres also Navarro & Kirilov. Banal is on his way up. Arce could play out the end of his career against much safer opponents & still get some good paydays
